Get this:


Every time, after a few rejects. COntinue never gets a playable map with civilisations, and a ledgends only map seems to be unplayable.

What version do you have?  Are you playing with any mods?

I have the alpha version of episode 2. I downloaded from bay 12, and they said it was the latest version.

Did you set any custom world generation parameters?  You might want to try deleting your current installation and re-downloading the game here to make sure you have the latest version with no custom files.

Just for the record, dwarf fortress will always be "episode two," and it will be in Alpha for a very long time, so that description is never really going to be useful (although you mentioned it was the latest version, which makes it alright this time).

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
