on embark I had a meat called < meat> that was worth 0 points, and that when I embarked with it, it instantly blew up.

Sounds like the kind of meat dwarves would love.

I belive I just gained a new fear of mystery meat.

Linkost SplatteredApes: Hey boss, I just found some meat in the back of the wagon.  Looks like it's from the last expedition that used this wagon.  I can't figure out what it's from though.

Ragir LeadershipKitten: Well if it's still good we'll thank Armok we got some free meat.  We're almost at the site, start unloading the wagon.

KABOOOOOOMMMM!

Linkost: OH MY FLESH! IT BURNS AND FREEZES AT THE SAME TIME!!!

If only there was someway to utilize that meat into a weapon, or the boiling yet freezing leather.

Need a dwarf with a pair of tongs to move the thing.

I should try and recreate the glitch and test to see if you can safely stack the stuff in bins or something liek that, then scatter them arround and have dwarves remove them while trying to eat, creating a suicide bomb effect. "Dreams"

Put chunks of flamefreeze meat into a catapult and launch it at hippos.

There wouldn't have happened to be magma on the map, would it?

Magma populated by fire imps?

Imps that when butchered produce endlessly burning fat? And !!leather!! ?

Fat is food. Food goes with booze. Booze goes up in flames. Traders like booze. Dwarves take booze to trade depot. Trade depot (and guests) go up in flames. FUN!

I think it was mystery leather/meat, not anything regular... though I do vaguely recall seeing fire imp meat in the embark menu...  :o

Also, I'm not sure if it has been fixed yet, but imp meat loves to blow up food stockpiles.

I think I fixed it, the problem was my game kept loading my old, screwed up modding attempts, which coupled with me uploading the orc mod, caused me to have TWO orc creatures, which reverted the playable civ to armored war elephants (?), essentialy screwing the game up. For example, on embark I had a meat called < meat> that was worth 0 points, and that when I embarked with it, it instantly blew up.
I have this same problem and have been unable to fix it. I am using the Molten Rock and Orc mods, and probably messed something up because I also have the 0 point mystery meat as well as the--most times but not always--boiling leather freezing dwarfs on embark, immigration and caravans.

So, how did you fix the problem?

You'll have to check through the raws for any redundant files, like anything that appears more than once, like two Orc entities or such. If there's nothing, the only thing left is to remove the mods and try again.

I did have dups. I had thought I had gotten rid of them, but after checking my errorlog I appeared as though I still had them. Turns out I needed to clear them out of the \data\objects directory as well as the \raw\objects
