Screw it, its time for a turn!
Katsuun:
You shrug helplessly and realising that this place has nothing left to offer you, you head back to the trailer, hang up the key, and leave the building site. Its raining still but it seems to be getting lighter, when suddenly it just stops. No ease off, no sign off stopping, it just stops. Immediately. Thoroughly spooked by this, you quickly head along the road into the residential area proper.
Its quiet, not even any insects are making noises, and its unnerving. You keep your knife in hand as you walk cautiously down the street, looking around you as you move. Finally, you come to a small stretch of corner stores. There is a fish and chip shop, a pizza shop, a newspaper store and most notably a general store. They all look quite ruined, but the general store has boards over the windows and you can hear noises inside! Thinking that it could be other people, you bang on the door and shout:
"Hey! Is anyone in there? I'm alive!"
You only hear a couple of groans from inside however. A bad sign. And whats worse is that one window has been broken into, it has blood on the edges and now that you look closer, there is blood on the other boards and even the door! You try the door but its locked. Looks like the only way in is the window or perhaps a way around back? You stand back and look through the window from the road but its dark in there and you can't see anything, but you think you can sense movement. Nothing comes out though. Not yet at any rate...
What do you do?
Shoruke:
You grip your pistol tightly and carefully step around the corner, trying to give as much space as possible incase something jumps at you. Nothing does and you see that there is nothing but the water, some broken wine bottles and a corpse lying on the floor. Its head has been completely chewed off. Gross! Nothing could live through that.
You walk up to it and look it over more closely. It appears to be some sort of plumber or trolleyman. Something like that. You decide to quickly search him, as it looks like a him at any rate, and find nothing useful. On a whim, you check to see if his boots are your size and what do ya know! They are! Lucking out, you inspect them closer and find that they are Steel cap boots. You take them off the corpse, wipe the blood spots off and put them in your pack. You will change out of them later. Thinking that there is nothing useful left here, you turn to leave but not before taking three bottles of unbroken wine. Could be useful later...
You head out of the wine cellar and back into the main room and turn into the furnace room. You search the place carefully, and find a couple of things: A pair of needlenose pliers, an adjustable spanner, 2 dirty patches of oily cloth, a box of matches and a file. You happily put them into your pack which is now starting to weigh a bit. You turn around and hear a loud creek from the room outside. You stand still in fear for a bit and remember your gun. You hold it up and quickly enter the room and stop.
Something aint right... You freeze and look around you everywhere, gun up and ready to jump out of the way. Seeing nothing and hearing nothing, you inspect the room closer and notice something chilling. The body. Its gone. There is also blood smears on the stairs up as well as the odd one on the wall.
"That can't be good..." you whisper to yourself. Whoever took the body must have been damn quiet, and they could still be in here. Deciding that you need to get out of here quickly while avoiding the narrow space of the corridor above, you decide to check where the water is coming from. It could be a way out after all. You sidle over to the wine cellar door and enter. The bootless corpse is still there, which is reassuring, and you quickly head over to the watery doorway. Its dark in there. Very dark. Nonetheless, you proceed onwards, gun up, and continue through a narrow brick corridor. It smells like rotten leaves and fruit and it comes as a suprise when you bump your head on something. You feel it out and find a handle, and notice the water coming from under what appears to be a hatch or something like that on an angle.
You are at a crossroads; do you open the hatch and brave whatever is on the otherside, or do you head back up the stairs to confront the unknown danger?
Webadict:
You stalk along carefully along the left corridor after some pondering, looking in all the boxes that seem to be your size for ice skates and hiking boots. You find none but you do find a pair of slip-on boots your size! You put them in your pack and turn the corner and your eyes widen.
This place is bigger than you thought... a lot bigger. There are at least 5 more rows of shelving in here and it would take forever to search them all! You need a map, or even better a store manifest! You don't know where one of those are but the door on the left in the middle of the wall seems promising. You open it, gun up and find that it leads to an office. A managers office you suppose, with the manager still in it. The man is in his chair, head lolling on the headrest, neck chewed open. He looks dead, and there is blood all over the desk and the body. You struggle not to hurl on the spot from the shock and shut the door quickly to block the sight.
"Awwww man... That's gross... And wrong... ewww..."
You bend over and hold your stomach but you pull yourself together by remembering that you have seen worse in medical training. You open the door and are glad that you can't smell the dude well. He looks like he has been there quite awhile. You enter the office and look around the place, finding that there are a few filing cabinets, a light switch that you flip to turn on a light in the ceiling and of course the desk and chair with the dead dude in it. You wonder what could have caused this and you think you can hear a thumping back in the isles outside the office. Seems like whatever did this is still here a-
"HOLY SHIT!"
You almost leap out of your skin at the sight of the dead man suddenly moving. He lets out a gurgle from inside his lungs when he sees you and he stands shakily. He tries to move right at you but he has trouble navigating the desk. You think about running but you hear the thumping getting close from outside. You're trapped!
You spin back to the dead man to see that he is moving slowly around the desk like a hunting animal, stalking you with the odd stumble. You have little time to come up with a plan, so you must think fast!
What do you do?
Org:
You shake yourself to psyche yourself. Get a grip man, you need to pull together to be able to get out of here alive! You pull your tazer and cleaver out and proceed onwards down the path towards the next cabin.
Its a lonely trip and you constantly watch around yourself but nothing happens and you arrive safely after some time.
The cabin looks like the last one you were just in. Its in a clearing of the forest and there are no lights on inside. You open the door and find that its empty just like the last cabin. You enter to get away from the forest and you hear the rain stop outside. Shaking your head at the timing, you take a breather leaning against the door.
Strife26:
Perhaps some rest would help you? You aren't sure if it will help, but hey, rest now so you don't have to later. You go back to the room you were in before and shove the desk back infront of the door. Leaning against the desk, you watch out the window and fall asleep into a nice nap.
Some time later, you wake up and you do feel better! You aren't tired and you feel as ready as you ever will be in this state. You stand up, the pain not so bad this time, and sit on the desk rubbing your eyes. The rain has stopped outside and you take this as a sign of things getting better.
You stand and stretch, yawning out the sleepyness.
Shikogan:
(This is an AI action and will not be detailed.)
You follow george through the city to the river. Nothing happens on the way.
George yells to the people inside the shelter (which is a hut with metal shutters on the windows and is on stilts to avoid the river that is known to rise with the tide) and they let you in.
Inside the hut is a bed, a closet, a chest of drawers, a bare light bulb and a fan on the ceiling as well as two people. They look like they are better prepared than poor george.
You take a break by leaning on the closed door and listen to george introduce you to the two other people.
