twas shoruke. Thankee sir.
Welcome.

I'm not good with specific guns, but I'm okay at types of guns... If that's not clear, just keep reading anyway...

we need:
-pistols/revolvers/handguns
-shotguns
-sniper rifles
-assault rifles
-incendiaries (rocket launchers, grenade launchers)
-if there's fire, we need fire extinguishers...
-if zombies can be drugged, or if we're fighting other pure humans, we need dart guns

Quick rules question: is there a maximum carrying capacity/ weight?

Another problem I noticed.

A body hit or a head hit resulting in mortal is possible I'd say, but in the leg or arm?

You get shot say, one time, and it lands on mortal, and your hit in the arm?

Doesn't this sort of...break the game?

I'd suggest resulting hits on arms or legs for a roll of 6 be bumped down to 5, and...you do have a bleeding affect right?

No, no, none of this adds up.

I suggest the Deus Ex Solution: Health for individual body parts.

Yes, individual body part health + blood amount(hp) would be great.
Oh and BTW I havent ever played Deus Ex.

If you've played dwarf fortress, you should be familiar with the bodypart-hp system  :P

Not just damage to each limb, though - I don't know if DF does this, but in Deus Ex, all damage lowers accuracy, and torso and leg damage lowers move rate.

GAH!
How dare you start a zombie game while I'm out of town!

 :(
I guess that I'll have to watch.

Id imagine a mortal wound on an arm or leg to be mortal, say a blown off limb or a totally ruptured body part, split open like a burst balloon. That would be pretty mortal.

I was thinking a mortal hit would be...like it getting torn off. No med kit can fix it.
There is bleeding. On a roll of heavy, or severe, you begin bleeding.Every turn you must roll, and if you dont get a certain number, you give in to the pain, while slowly bleeding out. A friend can help you, there is a chance he can stop the bleeding.

I suggest the Deus Ex Solution: Health for individual body parts.
I tend to dislike health, as a shotgun shell to your leg is going to do more than do 1 damage.

They haven't prepared for survival. If you roll a 1 or 12 for experience, you can pick survival.

If there is a survivor they find(there will be some)you can have one.

The thing I've always wondered about apocalypse-type games:

why the FRICK would the merchants not just give you their stuff for fre if you're gonna go save their asses from the zombie hoards?

"I need a rocket launcher to blow up the zombies and clear this town"
"That'll be $13,000"
"How the frick am I supposed to get that kind of money fighting zombies? They don't carry hundreds-dollar-bills, you know"
