So, I guess we should start this thing up.

Do we state what we want, or do you make a list of items and a set amount of 'points', or whatever.

melee characters are so much cooler, their all fighting epicly while you just sit there and pick enemys off with a pistol.

Or head shot them (with incendiary rounds). I would be as far away from the infectious living dead as possible.

Well if I was a chef, I could probably cook up a cure antidote or something.

Im tempted to join this. It just needs fine tuning, thats all.

How big is a square in the grid for example? What weapons will you use? What about ammo? How will combat work? Are there skills? Can you learn stuff? What type of zombies? Will the time and weather have an effect? What about supplies, clothing and transport? Any important buildings? Is there anyone else out there? How will they react? Will we start as a group? Any other characteristics like personalities? Can we choose them? Etc etc...

If this doesnt get off the ground, i will make another. Why? Cause I think that it may be fun and all zombie games that i know so far are missing something important.

Sanity.

What strains could a character mentally take before having a mental breakdown? Seeing rotting human corpses eating someone is quite traumatic to say the least. Most people arent trained against this like soldiers. Naturally, the worse your mental condition, the more likely you will do something bad unless you help yourself.

My idea is that the squares are a 50x50 foot area.
But I guess they could work like in DF, where everything is the same size.

Ok, i've been working up a list for those who are in.
You start with 2500 points, a pair of Regular Clothes, 2 bottles of Purified Water, and 1lb of food, and get everything else through raiding stores or through random encounters.
You also tell org where you want to start. (A1 would be top-left square, for example. #=X axis, Letter=Y axis.)

Spoiler: Gunz (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Ammo (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Armor (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Consumables (click to show/hide)

As for melee weapons and means of transport, we could make that up as we go along.
Remember, this is just a rough sketch of some of the items that we could see in this game.
