This may become a pretty interesting thread, we all watch or have watched tv shows to some extent, and many things a long time ago, however many things that seem pretty innocent or even cool are pretty scary once you start thinking about it. (The new Doctor Who's  The Master, anyone? killing of a 10th of the population of earth while tapping 4 times, pause, 4 times, pause, etc.)

The fact that Disney channel can have such crap on.

Or that CNN (the most trusted source of news?) can claim that the US is killing off all the prarie dogs, and that Ethanol is the only cuase of the dead spot in the Gulf.

Or Fox, for being idiots.

Most of the media, actually.

A commercial about fibre glass insulation is innocent to begin with but if you think about what is going on it is kind of frightening.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

DrWho and Torchwood are capable of being every bit as scary as some of the better horror movies coming out of Japan, Korea, etc.

I haven't seen much of anything coming out of Hollywood recently that can manage to be legitimately frightening.

And yeah, it is a shame about Disney and the crap they put on their channel. I'm a fan of the early Disney artists (the 'Nine Old Men'), and some of the documentaries and live action shows that Walt Disney was directly involved with.

The Disney Channel was much better when I was growing up, although I was always irritated that they'd hardly ever play one of their movies (despite constantly showing short scenes from them.).

That's pretty much a given.

Look at the Carrousel:

what you've got there, is a horse frozen in the moment of painful death, most probably caused by being speared by the pole sticking out of it's body. Look at it's twisted face, how it's leg's muscles contracted unnaturally in a reflex to escape pain.
Then there's this sick, madman's music playing in the background, while the gruesomelly slaughtered horses go in circles with humans on their backs, laughing.

It felt a bit like a movie in which two stoners try to steal a military helicopter

Me.

He said innocent things. None of us Bay12ers could qualify as innocent, what with our elven genocides and sexy goblins and kobolds.

Dear God!  I've never been able to tolerate either lazytown or Lil' Jon, but I find that... strangely... compelling.  And I also feel like Chris Hansen is going to crawl out of my monitor and ask me to sit down.

One time while trying to mod my Xbox controller with a sort of switchblade, I managed to slash my finger open to the bone.  For about a minute, I just stood there and stared at the muscle tissue and dripping blood in a sort of shocked, paralyzed mixture of horror and fascination.  That video affects me precisely the same way.

(Edit)  Wait, wait, wait...  The Wiki says she's 17.  Okay.  That makes it a lot better.

That's pretty good, but while we're on the subject of edited videos, try this.
