Well then. I hope those tourists are still well after that long hike down and up. I bet if someone tripped at the top they wouldn't be doing very well after tumbling to the bottom.

And this is how tinned food was invented.
Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

They must have been pretty thirsty to make a well that deep just for that water.

Thus ends the official written history of the fortress known as Boatmurdered. May their tortured souls rest in peace.

It's crazy how all these steps would be replaced by a rope and a bucket.

Still, the place is awesome.

Better than a well. It's a meeting hall, too. And a wonder of the world.

Hell with the the way the water looks, look at all those stairs!

Not only must they have been thirsty when they went down to drink, I bet they were a lot *more* thirsty when they finally reached the top, after having carried, what, 50 litres of water back up, maybe? In typical India heat and humidity.

Notice that those stairs don't go straight up? They've got those walkways in-between so people can rest
and set the water down, every few feet.

I'll bet their were some pretty bad-ass Indian warriors that ran up and down those stairs a lot, too.

Obviously, this was made by people with too much f**king time on their hands.

So there's that, as well. It looks like the only chronic problems that water can't cure are nausea and cave spider bites.
Which, coincidentally enough, can be cured by magma.

Or by people who really needed the water.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.
