Sadly, its probably going to burn. Or are artifacts immune? Great story and location by the way.

Also, just upload the zip to FileFront, and you have no problems. Here:

I look forward to seeing your fortress develop.  ;D

I might be interested in playing this site once the fortress I'm on now runs it's course finally. That's a pretty amazing layout as well. I might have to rip that off from you, lol. Can't wait to see what you've gotten done since you started playing it again.

Updates! Updates!

First off, after almost a year digging, and another year and a HALF waiting for the magma to fill the channel...
My forges are FINALLY powered up and smelting ore at full tilt:

And yes, that rectangle chamber toward the end? Thats all hematite... And thats one of 3 zlevels of Ore in storage..
So my Smelters have a LOT of work ahead :P

Next is my lovely trade Depot!

Its dug right under a tower im (eventually) going to build.  The inside is fully engraved by a master engraver and is largely made up of scenes fo the fortress foundation and labors from the first year..

Now onto the grand tour!

This is the basement level.. At the top are all the underground farms, food processing, brewing, and food storage, and the bottom are extra dorms along with storehouses and Nobles Quarters in the middle.

And here at last is the main floor!

The fortress at the top is my latest MegaProgect.  Its currently being done i ntwo parts, the first part is a 5zlevel high wall around the central tower which is going to be a 30zlevel Ziggurat when I get around to doing THAT.
Bellow is the primary fortress, all of which you can see marked out on the first page when i Started,

The blue squares toward the bottom mark off the years, so as you can see Im 4 (4 and a half really) years into the Fortress... Have to say my ONE fear on this map has finally be allayed... Around midway through the third year I begun to get goblin ambushes, and then just recently I got my first Siege.. The remains of which you can see mushed in the gatehouse atop the many MNAY traps there :D

Thus brings the update of ELDERMANOR.

The blue squares remind me of the fortress I had that I dug out ~100 2x2 blocks and engraved one per year.
