Water is released onto the mobile launcher platform on Launch Pad 39A at the start of a rare sound suppression system test in 2004. During launch, 300,000 US gallons (1,100 m³) are poured onto the pad in only 41 seconds.

Ive built a few of those... great fun!

Anyway, follow the link for a pic of nasa setting off their elf trap.

Don't they know you need a roof to prevent the victims from swimming away?

NASA didn't build their fort on a site with magma I think.

You have arrived. After a journey from Hawaii into the void of space, your long flight has finally ended. Your party of seven is to make a colony for the glory of all earth. There are almost no supplies left, but with stout labor comes sustenance. Whether by blaster, hydroponics, or praying, provide for your colonists. You are expecting a supply shuttle before earth winter, but it is earth spring now. Enough time to delve secure lodgings, ere the air runs out. A new chapter of human history begins here at this place, [COLONY NAME], [UNRELATED SERIES OF WORDS]. Strike the moon!

Dwarf Colony! That'd be awesome!

You'd still get attacked by little green men, albeit a tad different kind. You'd also find strange, new minerals, perhaps to power your future spaceships. :P

You have struck Elerium! Praise the astrominers!

You realize that if the gravity is less on the new planet, the hammer and ranged skills would be even more deadly  :-X
Training your space dwarfs in hammering(If still there, but seeing as how effective that might be in zero-g) would be catastrophic as they send each other off orbit towards the sun (depending on gravity of the planet/moon).
Fun part  is you could make a some sort of magma cannon... get a pump spewing out magma that would form to some giant ball of hot goo.

Kennedy space center is built on an aquifer on an ocean tile. And unlike dwarves these silly humans can't survive on booze alone.

Would be quite a challenge to build their megaproject/launch pad.  Especially since human screw pumps are so badly constructed they don't even desalinate the water like good ol' dwarven construction.
