as they went through the door Ifrit and Paul read the sign hanging from the celing. It flashed:
[DECK 5, WELCOME AND ENJOY] and flickered.

"this must be the living deck" said Paul.
"I'va never been here before" Ifrit noted.
"and?" said Paul with a eyebrow raised.
"I aheard it'sa haunted by an apparition." whispered Ifrit looking around suspiciously.

"Nonsense, ghosts arent real" said Paul not believing a word.

They continued down the hall until...

"I can'a see the battle" said Ifrit in a hushed tone. He pointed down the hallway.
There was lots of fighting in the distance.

"this is'a too much for us now" whispered Ifrit and he pointed to a side exit on the side of the hall.

They snuck over to it and looked back sadly becuase they coudent help.
"Mabey we can live to fight another day..." said Ifrit disapointed.
But there was no time to sulk about! Women and children were running down the side exit screaming in panic!
"Whats going on!?" yelled Ifrit.
But there was no response.

"Lets see what this is all about" said Paul.
They ran to the site of a nearly empty Living Quarters.

It was dark, almost too dark to see becuase the lights were off.
"I cant see a thing!" Ifrit said. A woman bumped into Ifrit while running away and knocked him down!
"Watch'a where your going!" said Ifrit and he got up.

In the distance a figure can be seen.
"IT'SA THE GGHHHHHHHHOOOOST!" Ifrit said turning pale.
"no" said Paul recognising the facade, "Its the alien from before!"
The alien struck a menacing pose. "Your'a right!" Ifrit said regaining his composure.

Pauls eyes suddenly lit up like the fires of hell. They almost even brightened up the room. "YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR FOUL ACTS!" The alien fired its shock cannon at Paul but Paul jumped away and it missed.
Paul fired his rifle at the aliens leg crippling it. The alien fired a grapling hook and flew across the room! Ifrit said "Quick..." But Paul had already reloaded and fired at the aliens back. CLINK! the bullet bounced off but left a dent. The alien tumbled down from the force of the blow. Ifrit fired his pistol at the prone alien, it bounced off his armor. The injured alien crawled over to a door to escape but then everybody left that was in earshot ran to it and stomped on it and beat it until it died.

Paul leaned against a wall and said nonchalantly "Now what?"

Somewhere on Deck 5, the ship's computer quietly giggled through a tiny speaker.

Entertained by the drama it saw playing out on the Deck, the computer's processes briefly twitched with amusement. The blaring of a siren thundered through the deck as an airlock opened near the position of Crewman Ifrit Tenge, sucking him and those in the immediate vicinity out into space. A noble death, however unfortunate.

With a computerized murmur, the computer closed the airlock and tried to stop giggling like an idiot.

The Sarge was pacing back and forth, back and forth, James thought he could see a track being made. But there wasn't. More bad news kept coming in.

"Borders in Deck 5, Living Quarter."

Again, and again.

"Boarders in Deck 3, Storage."

Over and over, the bad news dismayed the people in communications.

"Boarders in... D. Deck 2. Sick Bay."

The sick bay was unsafe, the injured would be without proper medical facilities.

"James!"

The Sarge called out, a large vein protruding from his forehead from the stress of the incoming news. Mostly bad news.

"Yes, Sir?"
"Go to the Armory, get some weapons."
"But... But sir, I'll have to run through the sick bay. The Aliens may kill me!"
"THEN THEY'LL KILL YOU DOING WHAT I SAY!"

James was afraid, go through the aliens, or don't and risk the wrath of the Sarge? Fuck it. He could handle a few aliens.

"Aye sir!"

James pulled out his pistol, checked it. Then jogged off, in the direction of the armory.

Hopefully he would survive.

Sam rushed through the hallway, trying not to look at the marine corpses.
He reached the elevator, banging the buttons quickly. He realized a minute later that this elevator wasn't working.
Sam hurried to the other end of the hallway, entering a fortunately working elevator.
Just before the elevator doors closed he catched a sight of alien warriors walking towards him.
Please don't open fire, please don't open fire.
His prayers were answered, the aliens dismissing him as unimportant. Which he was.
He looked what Deck he had selected. Deck 5, Living Quarters.
" Boarders in Deck 5, Deck 3 and Deck 2." a metallic voice started repeating the words over and over.
Just great...

Gaweir climbed from the ladder to the entrance to the Armoury. Or one of the entrances. He could see Marines organized in this area, bringing ammo to and fro, and squads running to meet the enemy. Gaweir made his way to a Quarter Master. After a while of talking, Gaweir had gotten him to relent. "Look kid, I don't have time for this. I've got Marines to load out. Just, take a Shotty from a rack, and grab some shells from a box. Just don't get in the way."

Gaweir took hold of the much bigger weapon and slipped his 10mm into its holster. After grabbing a pack, and some shells, Gaweir set out. He pumped his Shotgun after loading some shells, and set off where the Marines were going. Gaweir supposed he couldn't do much. But perhaps a little harrassing would help the effort?

Gaweir peered around a corner. One of the big, bulky suited Aliens aproached with caution. Gaweir did his best to keep low. When the thing walked past, Gaweir attempted to sneak up close...and tripped. The alien turned around, training his weapon on the lone crewman. Oh if only he had sticked close to the damn marines...

Gaweir rolled out of the way, and where he was, a small indention was formed. Crouching, Gaweir fired his weapon, pumped, and fired again. The Alien slammed into a wall, and then again as another shell took it head on. The thing slumped down, not quite dead, but good enough for Gaweir to call it a kill. He would have stuck around for a bit of bravado, if an entire squad of aliens hadn't been coming down the corridor. Gaweir made a run for it, trying not to get killed.

"THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!"
