Poncy DWARVES??

I just suffered about a dozen and a half casualties to cleaning out a rather dangerous cave river, and the only unhappy dwarf is a new immigrant who doesn't like flies and smelled a miasma lately. >:[

On the other hand I was quite proud of the woodcrafter who stepped boldly over the STACK (5x on one tile) of his fallen comrades and filled a bucket from the cave river (I thought I'd try to save Hero McArmless and Hero McLegless) which was still teeming with their named snakeman assailants. No job cancellation!

Were the casualties all immigrants too?  If they don't have any friends, or if the dead dwarves were only friends with each other, nobody will care much.

Put the whiny immigrant and the badass woodcrafter together in a nice minifortress deep underground. Preferably, make it so it has no ceiling; just a pit leading up to the regular fortress so your dwarves can watch. It'll be the first dwarven sitcom.
