I'd say a single larger vessal, and two smaller vessals. The larger vessal is hidden behind the suns corona. The smaller vessels are engaging, which is now known.
The destruction of any section of the ship is not allowed unless I RP it so as to get it right. Damage to the ship may be RPed. That can be fixed later, and as its a battle, its bound to happen.
The enemy is not yet in close distance, and basicly we're just trading shots.
Also, as we're just random grunts at the moment, we don't exactly have this exact grasp on the situation, so don't act exactly as such.
So yeah. Basicly, nothing to big, but not tiny. The control of The Retribution should lie in the hands of the GM obviously. Just to get the plot moving forward. But if you want the outter armour plating to get, say scorched a little, or for some enemy fighters to run by and strafe, thats fine also.
And for future reference, you can RP combat of the events I reveal, meaning if your in say deck 3, and aliens board the ship, and your character see's marines fighting, then you may post about the fight, hopefully with details. But you can not RP as if you know what a Fighter Squadron is doing, as obviously you can't see that.
This is really suppose to either be in a third or first person perspective, and centered around your character and those around him/her.
You know what, I'm ranting so I'm going to stop right here.
