Dwarf considers pulling a death lever a kill.
« on: March 04, 2009, 08:46:12 pm »

So I was playing my community fort, when I found an unhappy metalsmith and checked his profile, noticed he had a kill, and checked the kill list.  The old mayor Rakust, whom I had sent down a death tower, is the only kill on the list.  Apparently, pulling the lever that sent Rakust to his death made the metalsmith the killer.  Weird.

so does that mean that dwarves who pull a lever that causes their own death get a 'suicide'? exactly how was the kill arranged here?

Rakust stood on a hatch at the top of the tower.  The metalsmith pulled a lever at the bottom of it, opening the floor hatch, causing Rakust to slam into the bottom of the tower.

I wonder if thats only for lever pulling or for traps too?
Line a hallway with buzzsaw traps, and my engineers get more kills than my champions. Hoo-rah!

So there's that, as well. It looks like the only chronic problems that water can't cure are nausea and cave spider bites.
Which, coincidentally enough, can be cured by magma.

Neat

Care to test which methods of murder tag the kill proper?

No, but I am going to do a second test of the OP situation, but with some domestic animals instead.
