Personally I call it i-n-t. Just a moment ago I noticed that it was spelled init. By the way, what the hell does it stand for anyway?

in-it.  It stands for initialization, I believe.

Yeah, I also figure it's short for initialization so I just pronounce it with a hard 't' and minus the '-ialization.'

I have always pronounced it "in-ish", because it is short for initialization.

I suspect a much too large number of DF players are hikikomori. Makes me wonder how many would really have troubles with the Bay12 meetups, though.
