I'd love this.  Can it recognize golden crafts - at least some varieties of them - as 'also treasure' for the vault?  That way I can have a pile of golden coins with the occasional golden goblet or sceptor in there.  And dragons could sleep on piles of treasure.

Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the blood god, for it is a dwarven number.  It's number is five-hundred and eighty nine.

That's also implied by the picture. If stockpiles were simply changed to act like this, you'd have your stockpile settings and would be good to go.

Hey mortal stop stealing my ideas ;V

This is a fantastic idea.

Seriously, I can't think of any criticism.

Why not a new door type:

Gate - Very massiv door, takes long to be destroyed, takes 3 titles and can only be opend/ closed with a leaver. Swings open.

have you ever even played this game?
there are no forks, and gold does not mysteriously turn in to bars upon mining.

AND THERE ARE NO FORKS

I've been thinking about fluid items lately too. In the sense of dungeon keeper mining. Hit a gold rock and some gold come out (1/7), hit it more and more gold come out(2/7). That way you extract gold as you mine rather than sudden gold bars.
Also that would make for better smelting and crafting I think. A fork does not take as much gold as a cabinet.
Ofcourse this does not only go for gold. Rock and other metals too.
And this shouldnt be drownable though. Just sort of burry them if they are unable to move the stone out of their way and some fell on to them. Like a collapse or a stone fall trap or something. Might break some bones/necks and if they survive they die of starvation unless dug out and rescued.
I think up to 3 er 4 they're able to wade through or climb over, 5 to 6 unable to move past but if stuck in could maybe push rocks aside to save self and 6/7 unable to do much unless its removed from outside.

Uhh.. I am pretty sure gold comes out as an ore..  you have to smelt it in order to make it a bar.

It would be easy to just mod them in.

Make it a goblet if it makes it easier on your mind.

It does. It all makes sense now

I didnt mean they come out bars as in gold bars, they come out in big rocks. Big rocks wich should be smaller rocks. All mining result in one big rock.
And a fork was just an example. Make it a goblet if it makes it easier on your mind.

They're rocks of an indeterminate size.  All it is is a representation of the amount of gold found in a 40 cubic foot volume of material.

Giant pools full of blood would obviously require blood-dwelling fish.
