This used to be a quiet town. Sheltered from the crime and bustle of the big city, most people here wanted to live out simple lives. They commuted to work, farmed a bit, watched TV, and enjoyed a peaceful modern life.
And then strange things started happening. Strange lights were seen in the night sky. Black vans would drive through town, or be spotted sitting in empty fields at night.
Then, a few days ago, people started disappearing. No word, no notice. Just gone. Sometimes, a few drops of blood or a torn piece of fabric would be found, but that's it. People started getting worried, and many left to go visit relatives in other cities. Many just hoped this would all blow over. It didn't.
Yesterday, there was a huge storm, and a tornado ripped through town. In it's wake, one of the local boys found 4 strange green pods in a ruined shed. They were man-sized, and whatever had been in them was obviously out. People panicked. Images of body-snatchers and the X-files ran through people's minds. Some tried to flee, only to discover that the only bridge leading to town had also been destroyed by the storm. Defeated, they started looking around, trying to figure out if any of them were actually monsters in disguise. One man, in particular, seemed suspicious. He didn't seem quite right. In fact, he wasn't quite surprised to see the pods at all. One of the local farmers gave in to fear, and shot him.
He died, and as he died his body changed. The skin turned pale, and smoothed out. The hands elongated, and his fingernails turned to claws. His face smoothed over. No eyes, no nose, no ears. Only a mouth full of sharp, pointed teeth.
They had found their monster! Or, at least, one of them. There are three more out there.
That farmer who shot the monster went missing last night. His bloodstained shirt was left hanging from the flagpole over his door.
Now, it is a race for survival. Three among you are monsters, body-snatchers...doppelgangers. You must find them and kill them, before they do the same to you.
The possible roles are in the OP. I randomly chose one of 22 different configurations, so the only thing that is guaranteed is that there are three doppelgangers and 9 non-doppelgangers.
Please put all votes in red so that they are easy for me to spot.
