Anyone else have an initial reaction the same as mine?

Either way, great idea. I gotta try that.

Still rebuilding the gauntlet. I had to move the pressure plate for the spike traps and that involves about 40 spikes.. and thats pretty much 80 mechanisms.

My very first video. Small test trying out the spike traps.

The reset delay is too long. Why the heck do the spike traps start extended anyway? It'd be a lot better if they were retracted, and when triggered by the pressure plate, extended.. and then reset to retracted again. Any way to accomplish this?

...Whoop. Bumpity.

Does any have any ideas on fixing this spike problem? According to the wiki, they should be retracted in reset position, and when activated by the plate, extended (and then reset back into retracted).

you can hook them up to a lever and a pressure plate.  Pull the lever to set the "default" position.

Oh, haven't thought about that. I'll give that a go. It does mean hooking up about 40 spikes, though..  ;D

Good luck!  Also, a movie of at least 20 goblins running through is a must.

Not really, I'm stuck in the middle of improving my siege defenses, building new complexes for the military and holidays.

IceShade cancels construct gauntlet: attending party.

Righty then. Not exactly as lengthy as a Dwarven break, but a break nonetheless. Time to finish this gauntlet and sacrifice a few goblins for test runs.

Also if goblins make it out of the gauntlet, you have to maintain integrity and let them go. Don't kill them.
