Coffins for your valuable dwarves, especially nobles who need good tombs. It takes three bars to make one, but it boosts the value of the room (and your fortress) quite a bit, especially with a good metalcrafter.

Statues, are better, they have the highest base value of all furniture items and take the same number of bars to make.

Much more better, then to use the Platinum in its native form to make statues, since just getting the fortress going will probably have given you a proficient mason, whereas unless you were forward thinking, you won't have a Blacksmith with good skill. What's more, native platinum to statue is 1:1, whereas platinum bars (via native platinum) to statue is 3:1, while they both have the same end worth.
Which can end hilariously high if you're willing to get silly.
