@Goron

Yes, your mom wants you to so that you know how to when you are big enough to move out of her place. She's just teaching you the basics :P

Once you complete that she should send you onto another task (unless she gives you a list you can choose from I can't remember).

I only know a few ways to make money
1. Perform shows
2. Get a job for weekly salary
3. Check the forums and see if you can win an art competition (people want band banners made and pay for them).
4. Busk (from priorities menu) and rake in a few dozen dollars a day.

Once you are done with your mothers tour I believe she lets you choose a skill to learn / get stars in.

So what is the "update" schedule for a character?  That is, when does my character "do" stuff like work or write music?  I figured it was based on an 8-hour system, but it's coming up over 12 hours since the last action and he hasn't done much of anything.

Every 12 - 13 hours I think, you get two a day.

Sometimes it may take longer but they average out to around that.

Think I've found two of you so far, heading to Seattle next and then will swing by Melbourne. Any one in NYC that I didn't get a hold of? I'll be flying out tonight.

Is it possible to recreate your character? I'm pretty much regretting my choices already.

If you're in Seattle, look me up: Ledley Tobias, at the Evergreen State Univ.

So what other newbs are in the NYC area?

If anyone is interested in starting up an electronica duo or something hit me up...
But no sissy acid trance or anything- I'm talking turntablism, trip hop, sampling, ambient, and the like...

Right now I still suck, as I'm only 3 days old... but with Jack Jackson's (Dwarven Smokeologist) help I've got a nice leg up and plan to get good.

Deon, I've hunted you down in Melbourne. If you're still around just interact with me, we can also get you on a plane flight to meet up with the others if you want.

Any one else I'm missing or not found yet?

- Jack Jackson

PS If you for some reason feel like killing your character and starting over but don't want to wait for them to die from neglect let me know too. There are ways around waiting I believe...

I assume studying a skill at university is faster than studying on my own?

So far all I've really done is try and improve skills with a random bit of free/cheap Jaming in every now and then for good measure.

Also, I am dumping all my freebie newb exp into intelligence... is there any way to get more exp faster? And when my newb exp runs out, what do I do then? And when I max IQ, what should I get next?

^_^

When you max IQ start putting the points into Musicality, after that is maxed it's really up to you. I believe the university is the fastest way to learn but it also depends on your teachers and what skill lvl they have.

For more XP I think doing jam sessions, taking photos (need to buy camera and film and start training photography skill), performing shows will get you XP. Max XP per week once you stop getting newbie points is 3.

I'll see if I can find a good list, XP is the most important thing IMO as you can use it for every thing from raising skills to raising your attributes.

Getting ready to set up a world tour that will start in April if any one wants to join in. Don't need to have any skills except "Electonica" genre skill so we can jam the songs to 100%.

I'll take care of all the touring gear and tour bus + travel times / bookings etc. This will help any one get a decent amount of money and keep skilling up instead of writing songs or working for cash (I've got 30+ songs ready almost).

If you're interested lemme know and I'll send you a band invite and you'll need to get to London ASAP so we can start to work on our band relationship.

I know some of you have bands already and don't want to quit them but it's an open offer to any one.
