I once got, for my fortress's first random name, ornil - "Drunkenhammers."

It was quite possibly the dwarfiest fortress name ever.

It's named "Spreadbuttocks the Embrace of Prison."

Bridgethunder had a surprising lack of bridges. I'm not sure I've generated a fort with anything past the initial "Compoundword" (so no "the noun of verb" I mean).

Usually I name my forts by hand, but I decided to go semi-random and started generating random names to suit my fancy. After about 5 or 6, "Deathmachine" popped up. Of course, I chose that and anticipate the slaughter to come.  ;D

I once had a fotress named "The Confidence of Nuts". I guess those male dwarves must'a felt pretty alpha when they made up the name.

Pssh, a lot of these so called 'random' fortress names are anything but. Every fortress name I've randomly generated has only been an adjoining of two words, like Pleasantlabors, or Towerrape, or something else like that. Anybody who found a 'random' fortress name of Blankblank the Blankety Blank-Blank of Blank is full of blank.

I think the most interesting fortress name that I didn't make myself was Craftknights. I missed an opportunity by not making every dwarf in the fortress who produced an item with quality levels a member of a chivalric order.
