[Squeegy]

The knight takes up the reins. "I am not a knight of the Earl's. There are none of the Earl's knights out here. You are too far away from his territory. I am a knight of the Duke Wallis. However, I know where the Earl's castle is. Where are the rest of your men?"

[inaluct]

"They are resting in the bushes."

Captain Inaluct beckons for his men to come out.

"We will follow you to the Earl's castle."

((Is Duke Wallis the guy that the Earl was fighting?))

[Squeegy]

You don't know who the Earl was fighting. You're just a foot soldier.

Traveling
The time passes uneventfully. Night falls.

Hill
The knight leads you to a small hill. Below it, you can see a camp. There are a few fires burning, but no one is outside. You recognize the enemy flag.

The knight motions for you to stay silent. "I know that is your enemy. But you are unmounted, and without a mount we will never get to the castle in time." He points to the horses, tied to posts near the edge of the camp. "There are enough for all of you. We will steal them and ride."

[inaluct]

"Again, my men and I greatly appreciate your aid."

Captain Inaluct carefully sneaks with the group over to the horses. They quietly mount them and ride back towards the knight. If the enemies are alerted, they ride quickly. The healthier members of the group assist the weaker members in mounting the horses.

[R1ck]

I steal a horse, and put Webadict on to it since he's probably too wounded to ride alone. I then mount the horse as well and ride away.

[Squeegy]

Plains
You mount the weaker party members onto the horses. Webadict's feet are tied to the horse.

The camp does not stir.

[inaluct]

We lead the horses back to the knight at a walking pace (quietly, that is). After that, we ride with him.

[Squeegy]

Plains
As you cross the plains, you hear a cry!

You jerk your head towards the sound, and see a makeshift prison. It appears that PoW are held in there.

[inaluct]

"Those are likely some of our men. We should attempt a rescue."

[Squeegy]

There are five of you. When one option reaches 3 votes, you'll do that.

[inaluct]

((Point of interest: those prisoners might end up being other players if we rescue them.))

[Squeegy]

okay, if no one else votes we'll do that

[R1ck]

I agree with rescuing the prisoners. But we should scout it out first.

[Squeegy]

Jail
The jail is a squat little hut. Prisoners are chained to the wall, to the floor, and to the ceiling. They are crammed in like sardines. They also cry out for help at frequent intervals.

A man at your feet recognizes your insignia. "Earl Thompson's men!" he gasps, "Please... save me!"

[R1ck]

"What shall we do now captain? This many men will surely slow us down in our quest."
