Hundreds of men. In a siege. Against the four (Five if you count the guard. Four if you discount Newmar, who apparently was predecided to get lost in the wilderness by the GM.) foot soldiers, who don't have any skills in mounted combat, have little in the way of cover from enemy archers, and have no way at all of getting inside the castle, as now that its a siege, the gate won't open.

Oh yeah, you guys are going to kick so much ass.

I think your GM completely disregards dramatics. He'd be more then happy to kill you off when he could just replace you. Trust me, after his X-COM games, he pretty much views all of us as Cannon Fodder.

And trust me, as foot soldiers in the middle ages, you are cannon fodder.

The Empty Plains
You flee from the castle, overcome by a feeling of self-preservation. You travel for a few miles, then look back. On the horizon you can see the castle, and the two armies fighting each other. You may be the only five of the Earl's men alive, after this.

Rick is looking a bit queasy.

Inaluct rips the insignias off of his clothes.

"Now that we've escaped our slavery in the name of the Earl, we should work to counteract his oppression. Do any of you have any ideas?"

We continue to ride away.
