"We cannot take them with us, but we must help them. We will free them and give them use of some of our extraneous weapons and armor. Hopefully, one among them will know the way to the Earl's castle; we will ride ahead and tell them to make their way there."

I begin to free the prisoners, while watching out for their captors. I also give one of them my wooden shield.

[Cheeetar]

"Do any of you have medical supplies you do not need? A comrade of ours is nearly dead."

[Squeegy]

One of the prisoners cries out, "We have no clothes! Why would we have supplies?"

As you think of a way to free them, someone walks in!

I quickly knock him on the head with the handle of my sword, hoping to knock him out.

If Cheeetar fails, I hit the jailer with my bow, for the same reason.

I take the keys and unlock the cell.
"Go quickly, someone may discover the body soon."

I help the prisoners to get out, while also putting the jailers body in the cell.

[Squeegy]

Jail
You go around and unlock all the chains, and helping the prisoners to their feet. They thank you, and all leave, except for one.

He introduces himself as Emperor Newmar. He was attacked by these men and rode out to fight them, but was defeated. He was captured and brought along to the next mission, humiliated all the way. Now he asks you to aid him in defeating them, to bring honor back to his name. Before he accomplishes this, he cannot return to his homeland.

Emperor Newmar has joined the party.

"Please," he says, "Do not call me Emperor. I am unfit to be Emperor until I regain my honor."

I'm going out for a bit, post actions and I'll do them when I get back.

I put on the greaves, then I'll ask some of the prisoners the direction of the castle. Once we know that we are going in the right direction, we should leave right away. We still have to tell the Duke Earl about the enemy army, after all.

I put on the wooden breastplate. Also, we need to warn the Earl. The Duke is the guy who the knight is a vassal of.

[Squeegy]

Traveling
The knight leads the party away from the jail. When morning comes, the enemy will discover the escaped prisoners, and they will be very angry. The seven of you ride towards the supposed location of the Earl's castle. During this trip, what would you like to do?

As I ride, I try to perfect the art of playing a bow like an instrument. I really can't think of anything better to do.
