You open your mouth to speak, but the room gets blurry, then becomes clear again.



Your wife has disappeared, and the room has become much more dark. The candles are not lit anymore. Spider webs infest the corners. A skeleton lays on the floor, sans skull. A +1 sword is jabbed through the rib cage of the skeleton and into the floor. Upon closer inspection, it appears as though some runes are engraved onto the hilt of the sword.

What do you do?

I will:

Pick up an extremus pamphlet.

Nuke, instinctively, goes to the Church of Extremus and takes a pamphlet.

I just think that the game is getting too much into extremes. Either way its too fast or too slow.

And the Too fast/slow thing? Exactly as I planned, teaches/punishes you for getting complacent.

Rooster goes to take the sword, then realizes he doesn't have enough space in his inventory.

He drinks both containers of the 'mystic' water he's been carrying, only to discover that it's.... only regular water.

Rooster drops the two bottles, and picks up the sword.

Immediately the skeleton flies up into the air!



The headless skeleton floats in front of Rooster for a few seconds, without doing anything. Before Rooster can do anything else though, the world starts to grow really fuzzy.



As the world re-focuses, Rooster finds himself back in the newer looking room.



The sword in his hand is bloody now. The decapitated and skewered corpses of a woman lies before him. A small child on the opposite side of the room is screaming,

"STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!"

The child then scrambles up the ladder.



What do you do?

I ask the priest where I can buy some matches.

"Matches, you say? Those are quite exotic, you could probably find some in Piet."
