"And you would want our clothes now? I know demons are evil, but I mean really? You would take all our worldly possessions to satisfy that we're not lying? Please let us continue in peace. We need this hay and all the things on our backs, it turns out in Rodel hay is a valued commodity."

Jon once again tries to dissuade the Demon, and let them pass.

"For such a lowly creature, you talk big, human. I can take all your worldly possessions from your living body, or your dead one, answer now or face my wrath."

"Can I at least talk privately with my companions here, before we make a decision?"

(I'll allow whispering to the fellow players, talking is a free action, after all)

Jon, faced with this demon decided to whisper to his companions.

"The path to proceed is not clear. Should we give him all our money? A little of it? Or should we attack him or run?"

Turning back to the demon.

"Satisfy my curiosity please. Why would you need money?"

"I say we throw some shit in his face and run for it. Just a second, lemme fill my chamberpot".
I fill my chamberpot with shit, and then fling it in his face and run for it.

Jon asks the demon why he needs money, surprisingly, the demon answers.

"Demons are not BORN in the human world, human, we're born in the immortal plane. There, I insulted Saleen, the Goddess of Aesthetic Appeal, and she banished me to the human world. I need money so I can make this world a prettier place, so she will forgive me and let me go back home."

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I cancel my previous action.
"Demon, you serve a valiant cause. Perhaps we can help you? There is a shop with flowers guarded only by a child at the town of Trombly. Have a gander at this map."

I approve of this action, Cheeetar.

I'd also like to join the waiting list.

I cancel my previous action.
"Demon, you serve a valiant cause. Perhaps we can help you? There is a shop with flowers guarded only by a child at the town of Trombly. Have a gander at this map."

Cheeetar tells the Demon about Brent Jr. and how he's the only person guarding flowers and flower seeds at Trombly. He shows him the map of Trombly to show him where.

(excellent negotiation! Coin flip to see if he buys it: heads, you succeed!)

"Hmmm, Saleen was a very big fan of flowers. Spreading flowers around this world would please her greatly. Alright Human, I will let you pass, My name is Derrick, by the way. I appreciate this help but if I arrive at this store and do not find a child guarding it, I will find and kill you for lying."

and with that, Derrick the Demon walks past you towards Trombly. You continue triumphantly towards Rodel, knowing that you just sold out the pesky child that simply would not let you have the +1 knife.

you continue to Rodel and make it there successfully!

You look around and notice that it's not unlike Trombly, except that there's no farm, there's a port and a place called a "motel", there is a guard standing front of the Motel.

(yes, you need to eat, but, in game time, it's only been a couple hours since you first left Duke Cody's Manor. I'll bring it up eventually)

I travel to the store, talking to passerbys, inquiring where Cousin Vick might be.
