The second everyone has a bed, we get more migrants:

Rusty Rulducim founds the Metalsmiths Guild.  She likes Iron.

Interestingly, our group was genned with the name The Shaken Guilds.  I love it!

More migrants are up for grabs, feel free to join into one of the established guilds too.

Other News:

We have found the aquifer and installed a well.
The Fighters Guild has been started with equipment racks and a cabinet.
The Glassmakers Guild found a large native copper vein in their digsite.

The fort is running at 200 fps, a bunch can happen when I unpause it.

How about a hunting eagle?

When you get nobles or children, I request the creation of the Guild for the Advancement of Passive Aggressive Dwarves, or GAPAD, a lazy dwarf advocacy group. They will have no guild hall, will throw parties in the dining room, and will generally make stupid demands while doing no work in return.

I think that hall is a bit big.

and also, I'm designing my guild using DF, but It will have to wait a bit. I have a design for the lobby though, more will come in the morning.

I request to be one of the peasents, name him Rashvir (which is deathstar in dwarven) and have him join the agriculture guild and start pumping out some good dwarven edibles.

No new people to join the Construction guild?  :'(

I'm not good at making a meeting hall, can't you just make something basic?

I've finished designing the -1 floor and the -2 floor, but the hard part is finding a suitable place of storage. floors -2 to -4 are going to be one big room, containing magma, the work shops, and the the meeting hall (-4) that is complete with a waterfall and a well. -3 and -2 have magma workshops, and will likely have 20 available spots connected to the magma.

-1, -5, -6 and -7 will be dedicated to the well and water works, -8 and -9 will be the living quarters, complete with a central dining hall, -13, 14, and 15 will be dedicated to the tombs, and I haven't decided what to do with -10, -11, and -12. +1 will have fortifications to shoot from, as well as +2.

that sounds pretty complex, vieto. luckily my dwarves don't need many workshops =p

Also, I think that that silver could be anything from obsidian to alunite. (anything greyscale, that is.) The green could be anything that isn't greyscale or blue.  The cobalt could be pretty much anything. the copper walls would most likely either have to be glass or steel so that they won't melt. And for amenities, two 1x4 stockpiles on either end of the hall, one empty, the other full of stone blocks for the HAULER RELAY!

I'd like to found the fishing guild the moment you get a fisherdawrf. Name him Fortis.

Scratch that. I just checked the map and saw no place to fish. I'll take a craftdwarf instead and found the crafting guild. Name the dwarf Fortis.
