Do NOSTUN or NONAUSEA, along with NOEXERT, unless you want a fairer creature.

unluckiest battle ever- 84 militia dwarfs with the tag "Speed: 1" come zooming out the meet the 40 goblin "Speed: 1" wrestlers and lashers.

Forgot about the bowgoblin leader that got the same benefits.

Otherwise, it was like two Tsunamis crashing against each other and showering gore upon the world.

I... never thought of adding [SPEED:1] to any creature other than my embarking dwarves.

[Speed:1] makes things ridiculously fast. And when I mean fast....I mean like practically omnipresent. A bad thing to give invaders or other nasties.

I just started a new adventurer.
I was pretty bored so I decided to kill some harmless peasant or something.
So I came across this female dyer. I hit her in the leg with my Iron maul only to bruise it. She then punches me straight in the face bruising my brain and knocking me unconscious with one hit. She then continued to beat the crap out of my unconscious body. The dyer then got a couple more hits to my head and killed me :(

That sucked.

I once lost a legendary lands mod chaos lord to a dwarf with a backpack.

people allways seem to have their throat torn out by wolves. it seems like such a common thing i am surprised anyone in Df leaves home without their adamantium throat protector.

ive never died to wolves. with a fresh unarmed unarmored and untrained play now adventurer i took down 3 very large groups of them using only a pig tail shoe as a bludgeon weapon. i tried it on a cougar next and lasted no time at all.

unlucky for me would have to be killing a giant who i was quested to take down after searching the largest, most complex and most completely empty cave ive yet seen for a real world hour or so, and then trying to leave so i could heal the broken leg and arm i had gotten during the fight. surprise surprise, i met three more giants right before the way out to the surface. after exiting the cave they chased me down because of the leg injury. i didnt have any redshirts along with me who may have delayed them as it had been annoying me that that allways scored the kills against interesting named creatures.

I was just skipping along the map heading to the local elven retreat to kill them off when all of a sudden. wolf ambush   :o
BUT I was right next to what seemed to be a cavern or a dried up waterfall and it had some water down in it and was many z-levels down. After a turn of two of wolves eating at my legs one jumped on me and we fell... I was like... no problem... I'll land in the water  8)...the wolf hit a nearby ledge or something that didn't have water and blew apart while I was doing a cannonball....or so I thought ! turns out the water was 2 or 3 deep...after this I always kept [SHOW_FLOW_AMOUNTS:YES]

I was using a modified version of The Dangerous Wilds Mod (I didn't mod the wild animals though)
and I was playing as a Tweaked in SoF, with Ultra-Mighty and Super "SoF"ingly Tough, no way that anyone will ever bring me down, I thought.

I load up and Travel into "the jungles of trickery" (a Sinister Forest) where I meet a Skeletal Grizzly Bearmen Ambush stops me and I fight a little and then start waiting just to see if they melt in my fire.

so from the log:

My first encounter with SoFs ended with 1 dwarf with a steel spear having 9 kills.  There were several SoF heads lying around.  I assume he just poked them in the face.

Only vaguely. Made of the same substance and put to the same use, but a bit like comparing a castle and a doublewide trailer.

That's a successful battle. Rolling in as "The Demon" and getting your block knocked off by a walking pile of bones.  That's Dwarf Fortress!

A hypothetical Example
Quote
The Fluffy wambler has become enraged!
The Fluffy wambler charges at The Orc Crusher!
The Fluffy wambler collides with The Orc Crusher!
They tangle together and fall over!
The The Orc Crusher strikes The Fluffy wambler in the head with his steel War Hammer!
It is bruised!
The Fluffy wambler brain's has been sprained!
The Fluffy wambler bites The Orc Crusher in Head!
The head flies off in a bloody arc!
The Orc Crusher has been struck down.
The flying steel arrow strikes The Fluffy wambler in the head!
It is pierced through entirely!
shos”pypuk˜soluv”tr‘ the "dangerous fury of teeth" has been shot and killed.
when a battle ready Orc gets taken out by the dwarven equivalent of comic relief, that's an Unsuccessful battle!

haha. that would be so much better then the original bear mascot. i mean, im not going to go around starting fires in the wild if the forests have skeletal grizzly bearman running around ready to knock my head off.

if you want to be less vulnerable as a SoF take out the [severonbreaks] bit. that ways your head wont come off when you get a fractured neck or skull. although a fractured neck or skull may just be fatal anyway.
