I bet he's making a graphically intense game, just to stir up the ASCII vs graphics debate again.

Blizzard is managed by dark sorcerers, and probably have enough money to bail-out the federal government.

Toady is working part time for Valve, on Portal 2.

This would be the very best thing ever.

Look, it dosnt have anything to do whit any other bay12 game. And Toady dosnt work whit filthy capitalists no mater how awesome games they make.

It is, in fact, a scifi sim, just like DF is a complete open ended high fantasy world simulator, the month end project is a complete open ended space opera simulator. that is, it will simulate the trajectories of every star in the galaxy, and it will have giant starships you can design, and then walk around talking whit the individual crew members or so anything, and it'll have features beyond your puny mortal comprehension.
It will be Beyond Quality.

Too bad it isn't so, because that would so rock.

I'm fairly certain I know what it is, as a number of clues hidden in Toady's recent audio interviews has given me insight into things I'd previously overlooked.

Edit:  All of you saying it's Dragslay are overlooking that Armok II is the most recent incarnation of Dragslay, essentially.

Nah, someone is kinda already doing that (though without walking on ships because he doesn't really have enough money for it)

Makes me want to talk about Infinity now... That looks awesome! However, like DF it looks like it might take (eternity-3) years to complete properly, or, unlike DF, will be finalised too early and thus feel hollow, like all other games ever.

Still, looks pretty. And scaled well! I do like the truly epic scales space provides but which are so often shrunk down to pathetic little easily-imagined sci-fi dimensions. *Positive, Ringworld related ramblings go here*

Bah..too bad that I don't like space MMORPGs. Also, there is EVE Online, which is very popular, isn't it? This upcoming game must be very unique & awesome in order to be successful I guess.
Take a look at WoW. Lot of fantasy MMORPGs have been released in the last couple of years, yet WoW is far the most popular fantasy MMORPG still.
