Well, I used MS Paint for this. What should I use in order to make not grey-white-black?

And really, I, er, can't draw. All I can draw is a railroad. I can't even draw a stick figure good.

He is like the Kuribo of the Roman emperors.

exactly what I was going for!

Stanima should be 2, not power. Who even likes this guy?

28 days does not a long play-time make. The added power point was out of pity.

His last words were "But what evil have I done? Whom have I killed?"

He was right, actually; as far as I know, he didn't really hurt anybody.

He was just some rich guy that literally bought his way into power? I didn't even know you could do that.

I'm growing increasingly curious as to how the Roman Empire lasted for over 2000 years.

It didn't.

First you have the Roman Republic for a few hundred years, than a few hundred years as the Roman Empire. That's pretty much it unless you count the Byzantine Empire or the Holy Roman Empire, and the associations of those to the original "Big Latin Machine" are a bit iffy.

Let's just pretend it did, though. Saying that it lasted for over 2000 years just sounds cooler.

Don't forget the Ottoman Empire, who claimed the title of the Roman Emperor (see Mehmet II), the Tsarist Russia, who claimed the title of the Emperor of Rome, and the Holy Roman Empire, since the Pope crowned Charmalange the Roman Emperor.

So, really, the Roman Empire lasted until the 1920's, when Turkey abolished the Sultanate and thus ended the Ottoman Empire.

Actually, come to think of it, would you count His Excellency Benito Mussolini, Head of Government, Duce of Fascism, and Founder of the Empire as a de facto Roman Emperor? His supporters called the Italian colonial empire as the New Roman Empire after all. If so, the Roman Empire finally collasped in 1945 when Mussolini was killed by partisans.

EDIT: Come to think of it. According to Wikipedia, once Odoacer overthrew Romanalus Augustus, he sent a letter to Zeno, Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire, asking Zeno to recognize him Patricius of the Roman Empire and Zeno's viceroy in Italy. Zeno accepted, on the condition Odoacer declare Flavius Julius Nepos as the Western Roman Empire. Which Odoacer did, because Flavius Julius Nepos was nothing more than a puppet. Once Flavius Julius Nepos died, Odoacer called himself the King of Italy...altough, if Odoacer decided to call himself the Western Roman Emperor, prehaps the Western Roman Empire may still exist...

EDIT2: Since Augustus took the title Emperor in January 16 27 BCE...I say the Roman Empire has existed for, say, 1918 years.

And I think the reason people date the Republic as part of the Empire is becasue only Romans were allowed to vote, and Italians only granted the right to vote very late in the Republic, during the Social War. Therefore, the Roman Republic had an colonial empire, hence why people say it lasted for over 2000 years.

Also, since we have a few people working on these, it might be good to post an emperor, and then we can all discuss what we think of that emperor and what we think should be on the card. I'm sure it would make it easier to make them.

Alright, this card game needs a bit more depth...

WOOPOW!

I've made a prototype game board!

The deck you'd be using would go on your right hand box, you have one of your Emperors duke it out one at at time in the center while other Emperors wait on the sidelines in the Senate. Has a graveyard for obvious purposes.

Also, I thought the inclusion of items might make a be beneficial.

Different items do different things, and ideally, only one thing of one type could go on one Emperor at a time (So, only 1 weapon and 1 armor at a time, basically).

Also, I thought the inclusion of "event" cards that can spice up strategy and gameplay, with the effects on each card being enforced.

I'd think up rules, but I have absolutely no experience in card games besides my small spat with a booster pack of Yugioh cards, which occurred in Middle School.

we need ARMY cards, that's what.

How I think army cards should work, is be the units that actually can attack and defend.

Their power should be determined by their leader's power.

We need Julius Caesar and Constantine. If you want special edition non-quite-Roman-Emperors, you could pick Romulus, Remus, and Cinncinatus, or even Charlemange or Alexander the Great.

Er, that armor description should probably read, "broad strips of ferrous metal" or in other words, "strips of iron".
