Thermo Nuke Cat mines.

Need to modify our favored over lords to the Thermo nuke type, surface heat of 4,000,000 degrees. DO NOT BRING ANY WITH YOU. You will have to import them ,and deal with the vermin problem another way (Trapper teams work, sorta well for me) You import one of these kitties, still in the cage, and set it up near your entrance, with a pressure plate near by. Goblins come in, open the cage, KITTY NUKE!

Just make sure you have nothing flammable near by when it happens, or any dwarfs.

Poor imigrants.

I haven't gotten around to it but my next fortress is going to be based entirely around dogs. bringing a dozen or so with me and buying up as many as I can. war dogs for every dwarf, dog bone bolts, dog leather armor, dog everything.

i'm gonna build a puppy-drop trap. goblin steps on the plate, 2 dozen puppies drop from the ceiling.

do puppies even fight? i don't care either way.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

I'd like to have a new item type "fuse" that you can attach to full barrels of Dwarven ale. Stick them in a catapult, light the fuse and watch the pretty explosion...

Orbital Cannon

??

I had an idea for one, but it is theoretical. One layer would shoot pressurized water out in an arc. Above that (2 z levels) would be a lever operated magma-drop.

The magma hits the water stream and becomes obsidian mid-air with no structures around it.

Far, far below is a giant X.

You can make fuse of barrels of Dwarven ale. Explosion is small. Ignite the first one with magma, heat will take care of rest.

dunno if its exactly a super weapon, but i have a field of weapon traps, leading into a tower of weapon traps, leading into another field of weapon traps. takes op little space, works great (well, it's largely untested). it doesn't really belong in this category because of its practicality.  :P

You know how gun-type nuclear weapons work, right?

Pray the Champion wielding that weapon never meets a Uranium Colossus, or your Dwarves will find out too, when they ask Armok in person what killed them. :D

The Borscht Pot

A chamber, any entrance place will do, where invaders can be trapped it.  Then, water starts slowly filling the room.  Once the water reaches a certain level, it triggers a floorplate, which deploys spike traps throughout the chamber.  Instant goblin borscht, or elven if you prefer.  Can also be a Soup Pot if you arrange it so the water isn't deep enough to drown in, leaving the entrapped to languish in their own fluids for a while.

I've only built it once, but it was a lot of fun to see it actually work.  I had to use a separate lever to deploy the spikes, but only because I was too newbsauce to make my floorplate work like it should have.

I've gotta do the Thermonuclear Cat Bomb, except with a special, very, very expensive creature.

possible. drop the water right above (and to the side) the magma at the same time, and magma's higher viscosity should allow the water to catch up and make a massive crushyblock out of it.

We're getting poisons and such soon, right?

Too little water to drown, too few spikes to kill, and some poison to make their last weeks as fun as possible.
