Eheh, FYI: I couldn't install WinXP onto one of my laptops at all. [It's a HP 550] I've tried to install an SP3 integrated WinXP onto it...no luck.
So, I called the shop, and they told me, that it's only working with Vista, because some important "new" drivers are missing from the SP3 XP install even.
Incredible... ::)

Hm... Couldn't you find some way to use one of those UPS thingies? They're pretty big, but you might be able to find one that's pretty small, albeit with limited battery life.
