Questions about Liaison
« on: February 18, 2009, 06:37:31 am »

I have a couple questions about the liaison.

1) If the liaison dies will he be replaced by another one after a period of time? I looked through a load of topics here but found conflicting answers.

2) If the liaison stays permanently dead is there any possible way to resurrect him? Like editing the init or maybe someone made a liaison respawning mod?

3) If he does stay perma-dead, why is this? I guess I don't understand why they can't find one dwarf in your entire civilization who can fulfill the important tasks of tagging alongside a caravan for a bit and staring at my mayor while he sleeps...

Thanks a lot for any help.

Not replaced. Not about a hack or cheat for this. Don't think there is one. And it's because the game is an unfinisched Alpha right now.

You can actually revive dwarves, with dwarf manager.
uncheck the woundsm, winded, dead, uncheck prone, and check working, then use heal unpause, pause, use heal, unpause.
Its kinda glitchy, dwarf WILL be alive, he'll be walking, listed as alive, a normal dwarf, hatsoever, but his corpse will still be there..

New fortress challenge: Keep a fortress of 200 dwarves fed on Dwarven King Roast. Bonus points if you also make the the Queen fully brewable.

I think that revive thingy only works on your Dwarves. The Liason is a World Gen character, so it will probably break for good if you revive him ;)

Apparently "foreign" rulers act strangely when they arrive, like Titan Queens marked as "Friendly" outsiders.  Conceivably they could be milked.  If milking were working, I mean.

That is a mental image I did NOT need :(

Judging by the wiki, probably 200☼ per (Titan Empress Cheese [5]).  Normal (Titan Cheese [5]) would only be 100☼.
