Yeah, ring me up if you ever play online. I've been having a ball with this game. The play options are really fun... though I usually end up just controlling one unit and running around doing a metal gear solid sort of thing.

I love the defense missions in this game. They're intense right from the get go and you always feel at the edge of your seat as the game really doesn't give a shit whether you're comfortable or not.

"Hoo... looks like you're quite stable now aren't you? Let me rain some mortars and howitzer shells on you from behind a line of enemies while crashing fighter bombers into your key AT emplacements."

What i've learned from this game. Flak cannons are stupidly overpowered against infantry, and should be used at every opertunity. Their shells actually explode killing all nearby infantry instantly, it can kill light tanks super fast and it only needs 2 people to operate!

I really like the base defences you can make in multiplayer, its good fun.

It only needs one person to operate. :P Even for the heavier ones. You just can't push it around though you can for the lighter caliber flak.

Huh, what reviews are you talking about?  This is clearly the best ww2 RTS game so far.  ::)

Gamespot and Cheat Code Central are two good examples... ::)
This is one of those games where you should ignore the reviews, and buy it.

I think you've stumbled onto the problem right there. Gamespot is terrible, and you really expect reviews from a place called Cheat Code Central to be accurate and well thought out?

I guess you're right. (About CCC that is... I like Gamespot)
Also, does it live up to its M rating? I have protective parents :\

Not really, the worst that ever happens is a soldier being 'asploded by a HE shell. Or being set on fire, nothing terrible. Other than the voice acting. lmao its so funny.

It can get pretty gruesome, but not to the level of manhunt or the like. It doesn't get any worse than a movie.

Nilocy and I are tied in our multiplayer matches 2-2. Anyone wanna join?

The British Turtle / Tortoise is invincible. It sat right in front of the enemy's howitzers (less than 10 meters), AT guns, and all other guns and the only thing that suffered were its tracks.

It's frontal armor is 200mm thick, greater than any AT gun can penetrate by 30mm even at point blank range.

I imagine the Jadgtiger is even worse, since the armor rating and gun caliber is higher, though it doesn't have a 360 degree machinegun.

Huh. This thread is still alive?

Turtles are great but don't live up to the larger tanks your enemy is sure to have later in-game, like the T1 Experimental tank, or the Kingtiger, just to name a few.

I tend to use smaller armored vehicles and just speed around the slower tanks, bashing at their engine until they blow up. As for tanks themselves, I LOVE the Matilda. Great armor at those levels, reasonable speed, and small rounds that easily penetrate equivalent tanks. Too bad they get eaten alive at later stages in the game.  :P

The only thing that can penetrate a jadgtiger's armor is another kingtiger or something else with a gun that can penetrate 220mm of frontal armor. Sure, you could strafe a jadgtiger, but seriously, like I said, even the turtle, with side armor less than 100mm could sustain repeated superbarrages from british weaponry at point blank range.

It's pretty crazy for the end level tanks. I don't think the IS3 really compares too, as the gun isn't as good as an 88 and the armor isn't as good as the other assault tanks.

If I were to rank the top three best tanks, it would probably be:
jadgtiger > Turtle > kingtiger > IS3

The reasons would be:
Jadgtiger: Invincible and immortal. Long reload time, but ultra powerful cannon the likes of which no other tank can compare. Only weakness is tracks.
Turtle: Slightly less invincible but with a 4 second reload time. Gun is slightly less powerful but can still 1hKO a tiger.
Kingtiger: Super strong armor but ultra slow and a slightly less powerful gun. Easily strafed but unless they're packing a high level AT gun of some sort, won't die.
IS3: Well rounded, but takes forever to reload (15 seconds). Not invincible but not a pushover either.

Honorable mentions go to the Russian T-34 for it's amazingness, the German Stug for the overpowered frontal armor (it's an early game tank with 100mm armor for gods sake) and powerful main gun, and the goddamn American rocket jeep for being a complete pain in the ass with it's fast speed and penetrative rockets that can take down medium tanks with no trouble.

P.s: The US don't get shit for tanks. Their most powerful is a Pershing... gods. Pathetic. I think I'm more afraid of their rocket jeeps than their Pershings. Their infantry is powerful though, better guns.

Hm. Now you reminded me of what I hate about online matches against Germans.
