I think the whole battle is just fighting from that monument up to the building itself... and there's king tigers in your way, so if you somehow lose the AT guns they give to you you have to get very creative to win... which we somehow managed to do (we = my friend and me)

Hm, maybe I need to try to get my hands on Faces of War... I wish someone would just port those missions to MoW though.  Better controls, better interface, better engine.

Occasional physics mess up. I had to keep reloading because the guy with the welding machine walking into the floor, sent the welding machine flying and died.

It was... frustrating.

Are you paying attention at all?

Faces of war missions

The best physics glitch I've seen in that mission, jackrabbit, was I drove a panzer 4 (or 3, i forget) off the side of the pier, and then it shot up into the air ARMA style while doing so many backflips so quickly it could have opened a time rift. it them splashed into the water and everybody got out fine and had to swim to shore.

Just beat the first American mission. It was way easier than I thought it'd be, with a few problems. Firstly, the alarm did not go off, I threw a grenade at it. There is a difference, and that difference should be that if I destroyed the alarm, every single person from a mile away shouldn't come running. Secondly, Germans can see through doors. I don't know why Rommel decided to move all his mutant troops to Algeria but damn him for doing so.

EDIT: Holy shit sudden genre change. The American campaign is officially the best campaign ever. God damn.

On another note, the Russian writers clearly do not know how to use bloody in an English sentence. "Shoot it bloody down" does not sound normal guys.

What missions from the allied campaign did you especially like?

The one with the Dodge where you're gunning things down left and right. That was surprising.

Oh yes, that mission was hella sweet.

Too bad it's not co-op =P

This thread is now a thread about me gushing about Men of War as I discover new things with it.

Mission editor is awesome fun. I couldn't stop playing around with it. Small group of Japanese paratroopers managed to overcome a heavily defended German point.

It doesn't make sense considering the time period, I know. But it was still awesome.

It doesn't have to make sense, but it does have to be fun =)

Also, the map editor is pretty cool but I just can't commit time to bother with unfortunately.

I heard that there was a zombie mod for this, but the only evidence of zombieness I've found related to a couple clips on YouTube that didn't really show much of anything related to the gameplay.

I mean, seriously...  I only played the demo, but this game was made for zombies.

There is a zombie mod but it is unfinished and probably will never be finished unfortunately.

Woose just kicked our asses with a kingtiger

That reminds me, one time I accidentally sniped a kingtiger form across the map with a slugger. My friend is still pissed about that =P

I would much prefer a team match anyways.

Yeah, I'm not sure I should play against anyone who actually has any versus experience under their belts. The Tiger just. Wouldn't. DIE.

I mean, there were about six or seven burnt out Sherman shells from where I was staging my attack, and two Churchills. Four of those six attacked at the same time from different angles.

I WILL HAVE MY REVENNNNNGE.

I just completed the allied campaign. British tanks are waaay too long, take ages to turn, get stuck all the time and their tracks are too exposed. Apparently the suckyness in contagious because both the tigers that I stole died in embarrassing manners. One was toasted by a single flamethrower infantry running up to it and blowing up the engine with his first shot and the other was still under repairs back at the base when a mortar broke the hull. The jumbo's are cool, if a little liable to have the entire crew jump on the .50 cal in quick succession when the original one is killed by anything, resulting in all of them getting killed in exactly the same way. Also, 93mm HE shells do funky things to bikes. They knock them into the air instead of destroying them outright, resulting in the crew bailing out in mid flight, running away from the crater and getting physics crushed by their own(intact) motorcycle.
