Personally i think the conspiracy is do in part to some people calling the people we fought in WWII "the Germans". We fought the Nazis not the Germans.
The Germans, as a whole, didnt do anything wrong.

EDIT: also see the small text underneath my avatar. its my thought pattern.
EDIT2: well maybe most/some of germany did something wrong by for awhile going with it. i dont have much knowledge on the matter though.

While I do find this somewhat offensive, I must applaud you, for somehow, through that red haze, you figured out a way to be angry besides putting YOUR MESSAGE ALL IN CAPS.

I believe that the main point of the so called "holocaust debate" is not the veracity of it's occurence, but it's actual scale and form of execution. I also have an impression that those who go on denying it's historical factuality are simply pissed off by the way it's used by some people today as a means of personal/national gain and go overboard with finding some rebuking arguments.

Quote
Why people find it hard to believe in Holocaust? Because such cruelty is unimaginable for the people of XXI century

That is only if one is a naive person/ignorant of humanity's magnificent history.
Seriously, genocide in one form or another accompanied us since the beginning of civilization. And still there are some who think that human race is all about love and flowers, and that bad things can come only from outer space.

Now that you've mentioned it, it doesn't really look very proper here. Considering the topic at hand.

woose1: you wish!

It is interesting that everybody everywhere condemns Germans for the Holocaust, but in every other genocide case it's just the persecuted party that voices their complaints.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_genocides
I bet nobody ever heard of 90% of these. And it's by no means a complete list, as Uncle Stalin insisted on not counting political and economical persecutions as genocides(gee, I wonder why would he do that).
My point is: all these need to get as much publicity as the Holocaust! Go forth and tell your children! Let's make the world a bitter place!

David Cesarani states that "in terms of the sheer numbers killed, the Native American Genocide exceeds that of the Holocaust".

Huh. I never knew that.

People tend to be ignorant and stupid when given the option.

More related to the topic, how hard would it be to get laws passed making it legal to mangle the fourth toe, right foot on all those who deny the Holocaust?

All but impossible. Also, I (and almost everyone else) would oppose it. You'd be starting an inquisition.

Ehhh Terrorism is attributed to too many things. For example... Attacking a military force with missles is NOT terrorism.

David Cesarani states that "in terms of the sheer numbers killed, the Native American Genocide exceeds that of the Holocaust".

...huh?

"Killed" is a damn finicky word in this use.  Yes, european diseases did result in the deaths of millions of American Indians.  But the term "killed" indicates some sort of active effort.  What we're talking about is a demographic decline over 300 years which we know almost nothing about.  In 300 years, everyone alive today is going to be "killed" somehow or another, but presumably, they will be replaced by younger generations.  And the historical record is very thin because stone age societies don't leave many artifacts behind.  Numbers are VERY speculative.

With the holocaust, we are talking about millions of deaths that were result of deliberate effort and done within a set period of time.  There's very little confusion and there is no shortage of records.

You need to pay attention to the differences when comparing sufferings like the holocaust, stalin's rule or the colonization of america...

On a completely different note:
What are you, some sort of baboon? The comic is right; science is extremely important. It's much more important to our future than religion, for instance.
I have a very healthy respect for science (I am studying to be an engineer), but I completely disagree with this statement.  Science helps us live our lives and do good in the world.  But religion reminds us why that life is worth living and why we need to do good.  Religion isn't the only way to do this, but it's a good one.  Saying that science is more important then religion is like saying science is more important then art.  They are important in different ways.
