Fragile allegiance. Asteroid mining colonies,go around, colonize.mine, build missile silos to blow up enemy 'roids, build fleets of ships, or stick an engine on a mined out rock and go kamikaze. classic.

Could always go back and play rampart.

Locks quest on DS is a nice game too.

Well, there is this one game...

It is also called Stronghold

It's AD&D based, but lightly, you create and manage all the aspects of a fantasy town, and the goal is to eventually become emperor, which can take a while.

During this, you can become an economic powerhouse, fight monsters and roaming beasts, and expand your little hamlet to a large city.

It's fun, I've spent a lot of time playing it.
Didn't we just finish talking about that? >:/??

You know, that reminds me... I heard about this one game, it's called Stronghold and it's D&D based.

You recruit a party of dwarf and elf and magic user and/or the four human classes of classic D&D and make castles.

Reminds me of a game I used to play back in the day.  Lords of the Realm, it was called.  Good times.

That game hated me.  Skirmish was just fine, but playing the big time would cause me to crumble in moments.

It was fun writing a complimentary letter to some other ruler and filling it with the most vile insults I could think of, however.  Fun to see how they would react.

Ah Lords of the Realm.  I tried installing LotR2 recently but it won't run on XP for me :(
