Hey guys,
just want to remind you that you have last week to post your saves. Until now I have only 2 saves posted.

I know that some of you feel that they have no chance - it is not true! You can get huge modifier from achievements and if there are more contestants, there could be some special awards.

Hmmm - I feel like necroposting ...

Contest ends today - you still can post your save and win!

OK, contest is over! No more submissions will be accepted.

Winners are quite obvious:

Primary challenge: teta

Secondary challenge: Garky

Hail to winners! They can taunt to everyone else because they were brave enough to sumbit their saves. I will now draw prices for them. Hopefuly it will not take much time.

Hmm, maybe so high numbers posted so early scared the contestants away from even trying... it would have been interesting to see how to create more wealth. I actually learned about displayed wealth... if I had build all the 400sth adamantine statues and not only dumped, the wealth would be 40M or 60M... odd. Really.

Thank you DennyTom.

It is possible. If only good scores motivated other players to try better.

Anyway - do not forget to describe artifact you would like me to render. And you, Garky, descibe your favourite engraving!

I think I will not make another round. Maybe about something completely different.

Yeah, wealth is only about exciting numbers... Try a building contest or something. Who creates the biggest or most complex fortress. And some of your secondary achievements may be interesting on their own. ;)

As for the artifact, i dug out sth really old, but what I think was the most interesting I ever got. It has a frame of bone and is coated with the leather of the same animal, sort of. That dwarf knew what he was doing. And it must be sort of huge. Maybe only wieldable by... its own kind, megabeasts. It lacks somewhat interesting decorations, except the usual spiky stuff, and, if you are not a cloud fanatic. Hope it still makes for an interesting render. Not to speak of the name...

Esdorasol Thatthildudgoth, "Soldseize the Autumnal Bog", a dragon bone shield. 306000 dwarfbucks.

Hm, there were also later artifacts literally cluttered with images of earlier artifacts, and themselves... i think to render these would be a real 2 year challenge. ;)

Teta, could you give us junior players some tips about how you played this contest? Maybe a brief season-by-season explanation of the general tasks you undertook to score so well?

Well, that could cost someone the fun to find this out for himself... what is pretty much one of the important aspects of fun in this game (next to !!dwarves!! in the booze stockpile and so on...). So, read on your own risk:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So, a funny story, even if I prefer the kind where a dragon annihilates entire civilizations and is the brought down by an elven child, with a stick or something. Or where a !!captain of the guard!! goes on an insane and awesome rampage. ;)

Awesome! Thanks, teta!

I was with you on the challenge through the first year, though I took a slightly different approach.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It was a fun challenge and it forced me to do things in the game I hadn't done before so I've got a new love for the depth and complexity of things. I just wasn't ready for so challenging a task!

Maybe next time ;)
