I want to be Heavy Weaponized aswell.

To disable my obsession with Warhammer, I shall instead request you make my character a sarcastic, cynical British veteran with an attitude, that really just wants to get out alive, and not in a coffin.

X-Com Commander in Chief's personal log
7th March.

Well, it's about time the government got it's damn act together. X-Com is back and badder than ever! Well, no, not really.

Anyway, let's catalogue our assets:

Okay, who the fuck designed that base? There are two entrances, quite separated! Indefensible! Inexcusable! Well, time to get to work. Let's redesign a few things.

Now, as for our vehicles, those road vehicles have got to go. We're buying a bunch of hoverbikes. Swarm tactics FTW. Also some other armaments. Hmm, and yes, science. The biochemists want to miniaturize the alien containment facility enough to be put on vehicles. That's good. The quantum physicists, the geniuses that they are, can't think of anything better to do than hurl a bunch of probes through the weird hovering cube-gates.

And then there's the troops... Weeeeelllll....

Okay, they're bunch of madmen. The heavies refuse to use armor-piercing ordnance, only high explosive and incendiary for them, one guy is nicknamed sniper but couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, and I swear those can't be their real names. Apparently, we've got the strange dregs of society: too honorable to join the gangs, too violent for Megapol or Marsec. Freaks, all of them. But I suppose we must do with what we have.

----

Awww, look at all those tiny little ants, all dancing around, all for me! Dance, little ants! Dance!

Heh. Anyway, we got all the stuff I ordered in less than two minutes. I guess we don't get anything for free then...

Nevertheless, we're all set, so I'll just play Tetris until something happens.

----

Well, that was quick. I barely even got started!

X-Com to the rescue!

Oops. Seems like Captain Mayday won't be partaking in this mission, on account of having no gun. We won't really need more grenades, which is the only thing he's armed with.

Aliens! Damn they're ugly.

Well, that was quick. Apparently there was only one of those anthropods. Still a cause for alarm, since one is infinitely more than nothing.

Todo List:
Pandarsenic, Sniper
WorkerDrone, Heavy

Redshirts List:
2 Gunners

Tip of the Update:
Vehicles can be renamed too! Therefore, you can request a named vehicle!

My lack of a shooter is highly disturbing.

Too honorable for the gangs.  Ha.  I'm sure we all got kicked out of the gangs, because we couldn't stick to a plan long enough to not blow everything up.

Give the Hoverbikes dwarven names, and name the transport Brunhilde.  If you've still got the hovercars name them Fast and Furious.

Damn politically correct game designers.  I don't wanna be a chick!

Aliens! Scramble the hoverbikes!

That was quick. Sorry, didn't get any pictures of the carnage.

We suspect alien infiltration of this building.

Goddammit, we were right.

Goddamn hyperworms.

OHSHI- Wait. GRENADE!

Well that didn't work. YOU REQUIRE ADDITIONAL DAKKA!

In order to make up for his lack of a gun last mission, Captain Mayday is sent up alone against the aliens. Well, he does have a HE-loaded autocannon. He's not completely hopeless. That smoke to the left is from another squad's elimination of several chrysalises.

See? He's not dead. Grenades sure are useful. Too bad I didn't take more pictures. Four agents are injured, including Sowelu and Captain Mayday, so I've recruited an additional heavy, WorkerDrone. Who's a human, not an android, oddly enough.

Eh? I stayed up all night playing Tetris?

Tip of the Update:
Manual control would be a lot more fun if I didn't have so much trouble with scrolling causing lag. Especially when the camera is focused on something moving.

Heh, I've played the original X-Com and Terror of (from?) the deep but never took a crack at this one. Sign me up if there's a spot open. I don't care what position or weapon so long as my guy is called "Timmy Bighands".

Eh? I thought I'd added you.

Well, there's a free redshirt gunner. I'll give it to you, but first I have to stave off a base assault. Grenades are a lot less fun when you're on the receiving end.

No, the character is meant to be a normal human.  Damn, I had hoped the name would make that clear.

More aliens. Goddammit, we're going to be doing this every day for an unknown period of time, aren't we?

What can I say except comment on how extremely ugly those things are?

Those goddamn hyperworms killed one of the redshirts. Goddamit.

MORE ALIENS!

Goddammit, I'll have to send some of the injured men with them to be sure.

The building's called the George Orwell Block, by the way. Lovely name.

Curses. My clever pincer attack is foiled by a lack of aliens. I wonder where they are.

Hmmm? Oh, just a lone spitter. They're so rude, these aliens! Not only did they fail to get caught in my pincer attack, they also spit at people!

GODDAMMIT!

Webadict got killed. Goddamn worms.

There you are!

Hopefully that's the last of them. Most of our agents are wounded by now.

Nooo! The first to be promoted to Squad Leader and I'm downed. Curse you RNG! Make a new Sniper, named Little Miss Sunshine, or some shorter derivative.
