There's a video in the map archive somewhere about a flushing and crushing system that might be useful to you. If you could flush the bones through a wall grate (do they fit?) you could smash them with a bridge on the other side.
It sounds like you'd still have corpses queued for coffins, however, so you might as well just build the coffins and use them.

How about.. How to deal with unwanted nobles? Anyone?

I guess you can make a 1x1 office and assign it to them, then lock their door etc.

Let's shake hands if you want but soon both hands are gone, A-ha-ha!
Cut me down like a tree like the lumber or weeds, well discard who you please like the leaves off a tree. Drag me out of the sea and then teach me to breath. Give me forced health till I wish death on myself. Ah! Ha! Ha!

I'm a big fan of drowning.
One time I killed a whole count/countess/tax collector/hammerer group in a fort's drowning-based defense system.

Unfortunately, no matter how many hammerers you kill, more of them keep migrating.

Kanddak, that is why you do not kill the Hammerer, you instead use a cage trap, and put the psychopath in cold storage. You will still be counted as having one, but will be unable to do anything, and never need food or water.

And think, you can put him/her on display in the center room, and ignore all the mandates you want, and the poor sod won't be able to do anything about it.

You can also use this method to ship unwanted nobles back to Mountainhome, or to the various elven and human villages.

To err is to man, as to kill your entire population because you forgot a single stone block in your incredibly amazing steam aquaduct system is to dwarf

I had a pretty good system in my last noble-less fortress. I built a pair of glass-walled rooms, and then lined the floor of each one with upright spear traps. Then I put a lever linked to the other rooms traps in each room. And then changed their profiles so that one allowed the Baron, and the other one his Consort. Then I locked the doors.

Each trap had only one wooden spear in it.

They spent a long time pulling those levers.

I think the best method would simply to build a coffin for every dwarf you want, and make each one a tomb. Not only will this stop them from being claimed by unwanted dwarves, it will also give everyone a nice happiness bonus each year.

Yeah, I did that to a hammerer in a fort where I didn't have such a beautifully set up drowning system and it was pretty cool.
But in the fort I was writing about, making a whole set of cage traps for the count and his consort and the tax collector and the hammerer, and setting up the collapse to knock them out, just didn't seem worth the bother when I could just drown them all with a lever every time a fresh group tried to come into the fort.
