He's right about the confidence thing. Or at least half-right at any rate. Seriously, you're worried about rejection right now! You need to muster up all the courage you can muster, because you either want something with this girl or you don't, and sitting around waiting for her isn't going to happen. Who cares if they talk about it? Ask for a minute alone if that's what it takes. Obviously, it's a stall tactic.

My standards require girls to have common sense and at least half my brain power (Trust me. I'm not THAT smart that it's insanely impossible to reach that standard.)
