Cheese makers have almost zero mortality rate in my fortresses; by the time they die they're wrestlers, swordsdwarves or similar.

You are of many kinds in the South American rivers.
There are those tiny catfish that have been known to eat human inside out ( only leaving bullet sized holes in the skin ) .And then there are the giant catfish, that can in any proportion swallow teenagers whole, and succumb to weeks on satiation.
There are many kinds of catfish, but most of the ones that can kill you, can also keep you in the water, or drag you into the water.
