I've never been on the something aweful forums but god bless em
Hah.  Hahaha. HAHAHAHAHHAAAA!!!!!!!

My brother's a Somethingawful goon.  It can get very . . . intense there.  Not as nice a forum as this one, according to him.  They did bring us Boatmurdered, though.

On topic, I added "Boatmurdered" to my Firefox dictionary.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

...I think more about the gross anatomy of a mythological ASCII character than I ever had, or wanted to, about my own body.

I now think that the crazy cat-lady from The Simpsons isn't all that crazy: she drops cats on people. A good way to deal with the catsplosion AND invaders.

...I've realized that the concept of "acceptable losses" is a perfectly acceptable part of the construction industry, and all those hippies at OSHA whining about "safety procedures" and "workplace exposure to hazardous materials" just don't want the megaproject completed.

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.

...I never have to buy another graphic/sound card again.

...I cannot read newspaper articles about angry guys throwing around fire extinguishers in airports without wondering what made him tantrum, how much skill and experience he gained throwing it all, and finally thinking of an underwater fort where one dorf breaks a window and I have to seal off the area, trapping several other dorfs as well.

A dwarf's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Fortress which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. Gold has not been proven not to exist, therefore it must exist.

...did I mention that I'm saving up several thousands of dollars to buy a cutting-edge computer that I'll end up using to play a game that could probably be run on a modified C64?

I know the feeling.  When I bought a new PC, the first thing I did was see how fast DF would run.  My conscious mind denied it, but my dwarven heart knew that that's what the computer was for.

I dream of making an emulator program to convince DF that an IBM blade server is really just one massive processor so I can build 16x16 area tile forts.

I dream of Kardos making that emulator for bigger and better things than blade servers. Specifically that supercomputer they keep on campus.
