Because of Dwarf Fortress:
I read a news article about a river disappearing overnight. My first thought?
...
Did someone decide to mine out the bottom of the river?

After reading further in, it seems that a crack appeared in the bottom of the riverbed, without an earthquake, or other natural disaster to cause it.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Well when it stands for 'and' in the appropriate place its not bad, but when there is an artistic rendition of 'puke of punctuation' I eye the ampersand in the very back row very carefully.

Is that bad?

Yes it is bad, you should be pressing alt+tab and clicking boxes in therapist instead of using the horrid built in interface  8)

I am more likely to write, and as far as I can tell, write better, when I'm inebriated. Which sounds bad, and might actually be bad, but admittedly is very dwarfy.

Then again, Hemmingway was a shortish, bearded, blunt, bruiser, who wrote about arena fights, seiges, wrestling with giant carp, and dieing alone on mountains.

... I had a dream in ASCII, like so many others, and I tend to size up mountainsides for defensibility now, taking care to think of the nearby water sources and hazards.

... I considered what it would take to turn Yellowstone National Park into a working fortress.

... "Taken by a fey mood!" runs through my head a lot when doing artwork.

... I'm tempted to learn engraving, since I'm already learning metal casting.

... I'm no longer an elf-lover in RPGs, and tend to view them with mild contempt now.

... I actually research defense strategies for fortresses in my spare time and argue them with my local fellow DF-er.
