The problem is that the delay caused by the connection would be longer than the delay caused by a low framerate. Even longer than 0.1 fps probably.

Went and dug up this thread again because I keep having 'thinking in DF' moments. I was doing research for a paper on dams, and every time I saw an image of a waterfall I couldn't stop thinking about how low FPS would be. I'm actually starting to get really thrown by it. Any water is giving me vague low-FPS-vertigo sensations, actually, even ones in other games. Damned dwarves are starting to take over my mind :\
