hah. ive had quite a few, and i only ever get the frog ones. i wonder what that says about my personality?

also, in my current fort ive got a fairly large pit with all my tame animals in, thinking i could throw in my captured megabeasts to get rid of all those fps killing cats and donkies and puppies and things. but they tear everything i drop in to peices, including entire goblin sieges with elite weaponmasters. mostly things get exhausted and pass out, then get kicked to death by a random horse or camel. and they seem to reproduce faster then they can be killed. so ive arranged it that the hfs will have to get through there to arrive in my fort. im thinking the pets will win against anything except spirits of fire. imaginary cash bets on this anyone?

when i checked my fort population i had 34 working animals and over 200 other animals. im not sure how many are actually in the pit itself, it just looks like a seething mass of letters writhing around all over each other with not a bit of floor to be seen, but everything that hasnt been adopted is in there, and any of the adopted pets offspring go in there as well. as i said, throwing megabeasts and entire captured goblin sieges does not seem to really dent the population of critters all that much. they consist of cats, dogs, donkeys, horses and two humped camels. i also have some sasquatches in a separate pit but i cant tame them, they dont seem to breed, and if i mix them with the other animals they just get killed.

it was originally meant to be an amusing way to get rid of all my unwanted animals, by throwing captured nasty things in there to slaughter everything. but seeing as the only thing thats lasted more then an instant was a titan, and he only went for a month or so gametime, its been getting a little ridiculous.

dude 2 humped camels are like tanks! i had a starting fortress killed by them when my hunter tried killing one and then running home leading all the way.

Free Adamantine, wood, charcoal etc.

These days, the creatures i play as breathe dragonfire and are invincible in almost every way.

This disappoints me.

I too have adamantine in ways other then the HFS, I sacrifice my kittens for this (Modded them to drop one adamantine ore on death)
Now I have gigantic amounts of kitten cages

Me. the first time I found HFS I hadn't even HEARD of HFS. But there were no screaming captives. There was just a whole heck of a lot of BONE MEAL from sentient creatures and other happy critters. 2 of them got hauled off immeiately by the dudes that found them. (and turned into *shudder* stews, if I recall).. I checked right off at the alert and saw Elf and Dwarf Bone Meal getting hauled off, so I sealed that chamber IMMEDIATELY.
