I say we learn about all of that Alien crap. But, if we don't have enough good weapons or we need better armour, we should research that.

You know Neo, this doesn't count toward your DIS. As you are not using Dwarfs, or even Dwarf Fortress for that matter. But if I pointed that out, then it would also mean you would be free game in my RTD-OH! I need to update that thing, don't I?

It's actually "Particle Distribution Sensors", and they're ever bit as useless as Motion Sensors were.

Research them.  And deploy them.  For completeness.

Meanwhile, deep in the alien stronghold..

Underling: The Humans have proved more resourcsful than we orginally bargained for master. Several scouts have been lost to thier incessant attacks!

Commander: LET SLIP THE GILLMAN BRIGADES! BWAHAH!

Underling: At once! If only the fools knew that Terran weapons will be useless against their scaly hides!

Sub-underling: Actually their skin is quite weak and easily broken by even the minimum of force. We never got around to actually giving them any armor...

Commander: SILENCE! MY PLAN IS PERFECT. FIRST WE ATTACK RANDOM TINY CITIES AROUND THE WORLD, THEN HIDE HUNDREDS OF ALIENS IN TIGHTLY PACKED CARGO SHIPS. FINALLY WE WAKE T'LETH AND DOOM THEM UTTERLY! BWAHAH! BUT FIRST, BRING ME THE BRAIN OF THE WARRIOR THEY CALL "COMMANDER COOL". I HAVE PLANS FOR HIM...

Begin Recording

Shortly after the monthly report, the loading alarm rang out. Once again, our situation was bad. Once again, two people were unarmed. The mission looked bad already.

We were in another volcanic area, but this time the sub was reasonably close by.


And there was a new enemy.


Luckily, I was a good shot with the rocket. But once again, those two were the only ones we had left. So that made three unarmed for lack of ammo.


"I got one, sir!" Tickle Me Elmo cried out. A few of the soldiers snickered ("Hehehe, Tickle Me Elmo."), but Commander Cool said, "Good job, now kill more or I'll fucking gut you myself."


"That makes three over there, sir. Why are they all over there? The ship is here," Marko said. "I don't know, Marko. I just shoot 'em as I sees 'em," Cool replied.

As Marko fired two shots into the alien and it collapsed, Command radioed in, "All hostiles destroyed. Return to base."

Later, Commander Cool put up the mission results on the bulletin board.


"Congratulations Squeegy and Marko. You're first outside next mission," he said.
