"Elves!? Their men dont wear beards, and their women bathe nacked to lure you into the water and drown you. Thank Angrosh they are as ugly as the day and all big and skinny."

I don't get it...
It's a neat Mediterranean, though.

There seems to be a lot of water there. I guess she meant funny as in strange versus "DF just drew a penis" funny, or something like that.

Needs the Thames estuary and East Anglia to be more convincing.

Plus the fact that it's a sea, rather than a landmass in a sea, of course.

In a fat-fingered moment while setting up another military squad I accidentally created a captain of the guard rather than a militia captain.  His squad of near-legendary hammerdwarves equipped with high quality silver hammers then took it upon themselves to dispense justice to all the mandate breakers in the fortress.  It was quite messy.

Hello!

I guess it is somewhat a waste of energy to argue about whether this is a perfect resemblance of the island or not, or whether people can see the villages they live in there or not. Even if it is imperfect, the resemblance is quite nice.

So, maybe we could simply stick to a more generous spirit and try to make use of the thread constructively.

While I currently don't have an example at hand, I sometimes do see interesting formations in the worlds I genned. However, it is less resemblances to real life things, but rather interesting combinations of terrain (like huge mountain lakes with islands in them - I recall having one map where there were even elves living on such an island). When I notice another amusing map layout, I may mention it here (I am still trying to find that magma sea site requested elsewhere).

This isn't quite what the TC was getting at, but it's still interesting.
