Yeah, I just couldn't resist doing something in response to your many comitted dwarves leaving notes as they bleed out or are dismembered.

1. I wanted to be in the army, tearing skins off, with battlecries of "No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear! FOR THE EMPEROR AND DORN!", not babysitting criminals.

2. Space Marines have most emotions, aside from anger, and moderate portions of others, removed, making love impossible. As is breeding, unless you count shifting portions of geneseed, and it really only belongs to the Ultramarines as a base. In my logs, I will deny all beside the others like of the Marine. It is not only impossible for the Space Marine to remain unmutantphobic, or Xenophobic for that matter, and impossible for him to feel anything but comradriery for anyone at all. Not even friendship. Like I said, my one request was to ignore all ingame information, and make him as Adeptus Astartes as possible. Little emotion. Complete faith in the Emperor and the Imperium. And no fear at all.

>Log #3 837 M41:

Xenos! Greenskins! Damnation! Blast! I almost reached the scene, but it was over. And now these Emperor damned Sub-Humans think I'm a coward! Of all things! If my brothers had seen the rage I displayed! No matter. My plans will not be deterred by what they think of me.

The leader here planed on making me his Warden of Law. Like I could give a damn about these criminals. Send them to their Penal Legions then! Or if this race doesn't have Penal Legions, make some. Throw them at those Greenskins for example. Offer freedom for all I care.

As of late, I have been scraping together baser components in my head.  They should help in the construction of a Vox-Unit at somepoint. But it will take some skill to construct one. And it will be as series of trial and error as well.

There seems to be one of these Sub-Humans around here who's taken a liking to me. If she's a warrior, then it should be strictly because were comrades in arms for now. Otherwise, she's picked the wrong species, and the wrong person. I am Adeptus Astartes, and a Black Templar no less. All matters of love are beneath me. Time that is used for such activities, and with a filithy Sub-Human no less, is better spent crusading for the Emperor, blessed be his name.

She had better keep a good distance out of combat. I have no intentions of returning such emotions. And if she talks of blushing one more time, I swear I'll rip that foolish heart out of that tiny ribcage. It was the reflection of my optics off my noise dispensors.

Can't wait until the marriage.  ::)
Also, I hope you don't mind, but I have a plan for your character to capture the Spider.

Hehe, this is great. I especially like how everyone's participating, and all the crazy professions that are cropping up. I wish to join this craziness!

Name: Silverye
Occupation: Long Range Specialist
Skills: Bowyer, Siege Engineer, Siege Operator, draft as a marksdwarf in case you need spare soldiers
Gender: Male

Backstory: Silverye got his name from the excellent crossbows he made for the King's armies; eventually everyone (including him) forgot his actual name, simply referring to him as Silverye. He was exiled from the Mountainhomes after several enemy siegers were found using his weapons (apparently, humans dont have as much problem with trading to goblins as dwarves do). He began wandering and eventually stumbled upon this spaceship. Deciding that it was better than nothing, he tossed in his lot with the crew.

Thanks, and keep up the awesome story!  :D

CONFUSION IS THE FIRST STEP TO INSANITY. WARP IS THE FIRST STEP TO INSANITY. DO YOU SEE THE COMPLICATION YET?

Bah, I expected grand things out of carl,  here is a brave dwarf to take his place:
Name: Wernher von Braun
Profession: Rocket Scientist
Can't build a space ship without a rocket scientist!

JUst a note: CGS (I am told) don't breed. To balance them during worldgen. If so, it's easy to mod them to breed and might be possible mid-game without breaking.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

Not even friendship.
This is totally false. In all of the WH40K literature it says marines have friends.

heh, I typed "Morion" into Wikipedia to see what it meant, because I swore I heard it elsewhere. apparently, Morion is a very dark green type of smoky quartz, and is also the name of a helmet, the ones with the big rim at the top to deflect swords.
I thought it would make a perfect name for an early superhero-esque person like Superman, except doesn't have laser eyes or anything, he's just really buff.

the reason he was cryogenically frozen because it was the only way I could relate him to the Morion in my current fort, who is ledgendary in most weapons except the crossbow, has 150 kills, 13 children and 2 grandchildren.
he was so awesome, i made him the COTG, and made a graphics set, with the  exact same symbol, except in red to make him stand out. sadly, the story still doesn't make sense, because this fort's in a jungle, not a glacier, and therefor he cannot be stuck in one, unless if there was a really hardcore ice age.
