Ooh, a spaceship!  Sounds suitably dwarven (i.e. 99% chance of failure ;))

Give me a dwarf.
Name: Xeno

The boys back in Houston the Benevolence of Goats won't believe this! I found another world, just by walking into this jungle. Not sure what they call this place, but it seems they can read minds. I was just wondering how I was going to get back!

Well, I gave all the management roles to Von Braun (I got no immagrants, so he literally just 'grew up'), and Jagex was given the position of leader. Thankfully, he was the only miner not killed by 'cavern collapses' when I was turning a hill into ramps. Stupid trees (looks around to make sure there aren't any elven spies) Stupid Dwarf Killing trees! It's supposed to be the other way around!

Oooh. This sounds fun. Iv'e never done one of these things before, can I request a dwarf?
If you can, I'd like a male dwarf named 'Snodub' for a profession metalcrafter/metalsmith/weaponsmith/armorsmith would be nice.

I'm sure he's still trying to find words for the events surrounding the introduction of Xeno to Lord Castellan.

Ok... what's the story of Xeno and Lord Castellion? Something I should know?

Just the name 'Xeno', meaning alien, which SpaceMarines are to eradicate by the Emporers will.

5th Opal: Diary of Fredrick:

My pet cat died! Why do I have to live such a miserable life! WHY! Ooh, a cupcake. Aren’t you a cure little cupcake, yes you are!

3rd Obsidian: Von Braun

Fredrick had a tantrum. I hope he doesn’t break anything. Lord Castellion is… not a nice sherrif.

4th Obsidian

phew. He calmed down. For a minute, I thought he was going to throw an anvil. That guys has way too many pets. He’s running around constantly, requiring a meeting. Poor kid.

1st Granite: Jagex: Spring has sprung. I’m doing more work on removing that hill. So far, no more casalties.

12th Granite: I’ve decided to meet with Fredrick myself. I don’t want him to tantrum again.

16th Granite: Von Braun: The Elves arrived. This will be a major test for me.

26th Granite: LegoLord
I woke up this morning, and went outside for a breath of fresh air… only to find an entire hill missing! Jagex laughed when I took a step back, startled. Wow…

28th granite: Frodo

I’ve just been told I could butcher some cats! Finally, the boredom is over!

3rd Slate: Von Braun

Well, today we got migrants, after one whole year with-out them. They should be ample to replace our losses. In fact, I think we got 21 migrants, almost doubling our population to 45. Among them, we got a miner, 4 trapper/hunter/animal dwarves, 2 metalworkers, 2 gem workers, 2 craftsdwarves, 3 farmers, a mechanic, and 6 peasants. With them, were Silverye, a long ranged specialist, Auril Thundercloud, the barons old secretary, and Xeno, an Axedwarf. I told Lord C. to keep a close eye on Auril, I don’t like her… she worked for the Baron, after all.

In the Baron’s cell, 2 days earlier

The Baron Von Urist summoned Auril. “Listen Auril, I am useless in here. Go to the project site, and tell me when there is an opening to escape. I need to get out of here! This is embarrassing! Oh, Isaac is going to pay!” Auril calmly replied by saying “I’ll send a seasonal status report on the goings at this project.” The Baron smiled.

11th Slate: Von Braun

Well, the Elves were useless. I traded with them for practice, but I think I gave them a lot of dead goblin stuff. Still, I’m still dabbling in this art.

27th Slate: Xeno

So I began my training in the barracks. I have a feeling that this lord Castellion person is our for my neck, as he sure tried to grab it a lot when we practiced wrestling.

8th Felsite: Von Braun

I’ve ordered the excavation of the rock over the pit. The plan is simple: cause all the rocks to fall down the pit by carving around it. Simple, right?

19th Felsite: Yupdies diary:

We were attacked by gnomes today. Let me tell you, they stood no chance against us. Good practice.

15th Hematite: Xeno

I became a champion wrestler today. I can’t wait until I’m allowed to use an axe! I was told the forges were still under construction, but that it wouldn’t be too long until the forges are up, once someone digs the rest of the channels.

16th Hematite: Von Braun

The human Caravan came today from Gil Mel. I bet they have some good stuff to trade. We do too.

19th Hematite:

I was walking, when I saw the rotting corpse of a fire-imp in the refuse pile. Was our hunter hunting by the magma pit? Upon further inspection, and finding a pile of goo and a bolt in the magma pit, I think I am right.

28th Hematite: One of the immigrant married couples had a baby boy, the first native to our base. Who knows, maybe he’ll grow up to fly the ship.

5th Malachite: Well, turns out I did learn a thing or two trading with the elves. Now I had a sense for what this stuff is worth.

14th Malachite: Jagex

Well, The magma channels are ready. The problem is, there is an imp in the magma chamber. I’ve asked Lord Castellion to deal with it, using the traps. Hopefully, Von Braun won’t make the mistakes of his predecessor.

18th Malachite:

The miner had a gap, and dug the channel. We are now a lever pull away from flooding the magma channel. We just need to finish the safety mechanisms.

23rd Malachite: LegoLord

Today, I got to pull the lever. This is an exciting moment, because it means out metalsmithing operations are now officially at full steam ahead! Almost. We still need to build the workshops.

(Actually, I wrote this before the lever was pulled, but it was Legolord who pulled the lever. Lucky guess.)

24th Malachite: Yupdies

The racoons came today, and I was told to kill them. Not that it was hard, but I’m going to tell Von Braun to put some traps up out there.

5th Galena: Legolord

“It turns out, there is space in our new magma forge area for glass smelters. Now, I can begin making glass!

15th Galena: Jagex

We have dug a circle around the base of a giant chunk of rock we are about to drop into the bottomless pit. I hope there aren’t any spiders down there, because even if there were, they won’t be much longer!

25th Galena: Von Braun

This is bad news! Hal 1500 has been acting oddly, and I think his wires are acting up, or he’s possessed, or something. Quick! Dis-allow access to the air locks!

26th Galena: Auril

I never seem to get an opportunity to snoop through Von Braun’s stuff. I barely managed to send a light report on a spare piece of paper telling the Baron Von Urist that Isaac was dead, but had chosen a replacement. I wonder when he will get the report. In any case, it appears they are exposing a bottomless pit. Also, this thing that calls himself Hal 1500 claimed a craftsdwarf shop, calming Von Braun a little. However, these AI can be a little demanding…

Ok, how do you make and post a DF video? I want to record the falling of this first block. Should be epic.

That is exactly how I would react to a missing hill.
