Ahahahahaha!

No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear! Kill the Emperor's enemies! With great thunder and faith!

Their Bravado!...or howling, shall be cut short!

>Log #2 836 M41:

Bah! Stuck on this planet, and I get none of the proper respect I deserve. I demanded to join these savages on this feral world just so I could perhaps regain contact with a nearby Imperial Fleet. I still have my Vox Bead...perhaps I could hook it up to something and transmit the message...I will have to request they use designs for a Vox Unit in the ship. I refuse to live out my life on this dirt ball when there are the Forces of Chaos to defeat. So the Emperor will guide me. Duty, honor, and faith.

In the meantime, I will require a new weapon. My Power Armor made it through the unfortunate crash of my vessel fairly nicely, but so it is, I shall have to settle on a weaker sword. I just hope it can handle the stress of combat I put it through.

I hear there are some dangerous Xenos on this planet, least of all these short things, though they might perhaps be the fabled squats. No matter. I will report about it later. However, the 'Greenskins' on this planet don't happen to include Orks. Just gretchin like aliens, though they seem to be stronger. So it is. I shall kill them all the same.

Mark my words, I'll see the end of this planet like the rest. Perhaps the Chapter could make use of this world. I'm sure our surviving Squat allies will be pleased to learn of thier races survival here...if a bit primitive. But at least they are taking their first steps to space traval. To bad they won't be aware of the Warp yet.

For now, I feel there is work to be done. I will teach them of the Emperor's power yet.

ah! this is great. I'd like in on the doomed venture.

I'd like to request a migrant Character:
Name: "Flash"
either gender.

basically, I want this dwarf to be obsessed with fire, fuel, and explosives. S/he doesn't know much about anything else, really, and has this big idea that the spaceship should not only have booze bombs as fuel, it should have its own magma supply. A "core" of magma, perhaps. Or maybe a Magma-Sphere. At any rate, this is not for practical, normal reasons - but rather because if you take the magma away, then the Moon Goblins Win.
Also, I am convinced that the moon is made out of Green Goblin Cheese. (like Dwarf Cheese, but green, because... goblins?)

Jobs:
Architecture - because of all those great ideas I have. (in my mind, anyways)
Wood Burning (because.. burning)
Animal Extraction (The fabled fire snake extract)
Brewing (booze bombs)
Hauling - JUST furniture hauling.
If you need a miner, I'll do that too (because there's Magma to mine. Also, coal. Also, bauxite)

I'll keep your application around for the Spring imigrants. I kinda have my hands full on the current ones, so I have no freedom of jobs at the moment.

However, the caravan came less than a second (literally) after the completion of the trade depot, so I was very relieved. I'll post the 2nd log after I reach spting (I'm at late fall). Also, the ship will crash, it's only a matter of where (Bottomless pit, or bottomed pit).

oh, hey, no rush. Flash is probly 'abducted by little green humanoids from space' right now, anyways.  ;D

I tried to think of skills you'd need later in this fort, well, mostly. Animal Squishing is really useless, but.. yeah.  Architecture and Brewing are both important niches for mega-project forts. Especially if you plan on igniting a giant booze stockpile under 'em.

Just to check this is a 'anilla fort, right?

Vanilla fort? I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean, normal except for the mega-project involving a space-ship, then yes.

And yes, it does have a river/magma/other in the vicinity.

oh, right. No mods, except if you count this tileset as a mod, which basically is a tileset with  mouth'd cats, every stone as economic, and... not sure what else. But no mods.

Also, I just found out that the Dwarf 'king' is actually a queen.

actually, the economic stone thing and the catmouths are technically mods (especially the economic stone thing, as I'm pretty sure it breaks save if you add it in after), but yeah, pretty much vanilla.

Thanks.

Nice! I had an idea for something like this once. Anyway, if it's not too much trouble:
Name: Carl Sagan
Profession: Terraformer (combination grower/miner)

Every outside room can be ejected ... with a pick ... I doubt that dwarves will survive landing.
